I did top them on the 5 th node
And I had root bound
Also the power flower is smaller but
It 's only 2 week younger
I think in 2 weeks both strains will be the same size

You can train them all to be even. This is how you will achieve a good harvest. Canopy management. Use all that light. Lst, supercropping, whatever you chose.

How it going there gringo been keeping a eye on post. Looks like u have been getting some great advice.
I have to say Bryan
RIU is filled with passionate people
Who are willing to jump in and help out
I am very thankful to all

It ' 's being OK
I am learning as it goes

Got some root bound
A bit of burn because of my soil
And nitrogen deficiency showed up just before I changed the soil
Added some N and magnesium
In a tea
Hope by the end of next week I can move the 5 amnesia into their final 7gal dirt pot
And take them from there

Planing to mix 40l of my soil
With 40l of worm humus
And 5l of bat guano

For the 5 amnesia

What do you rekon

Photoperiod stains flower when put under 12/12, I flower mine with way less than 3 weeks of veg normally. Yeah, maybe if you're doing flood and drain you can go with smaller roots. But pretty much every other hydro system produces explosive root growth very fast. I've honestly never seen someone try dwc in a tiny bucket. My point is, if you aren't planning on flowering in the small pot. Then you're best off transplanting when the roots have filled the pot, which was probably over a week ago.
Peace, J bleezy
Photoperiod requires the correct "maturity" (really just the build up of flower hormones) and the photoperiod associated with flower (10 or more hours of dark depending on lights, usually 12) before it can flower from seed. Clones are different. If you had a seed in less than 18 days from sprout starting to produce calyx clusters, I'd be very curious. While it may be possible it seems very highly unlikely. Usually they are barely starting to show sex at 2.5-3 weeks.

In soiless or well aerated soil you get air pruning which is essentially topping the roots.
Hydro plants don't need all the roots. The more roots there are, the more surface area to absorb nutrients and water. Which means more plant matter, higher supportable yield, and quicker growth. If you lose roots, what remains will work in overtime. You will lose yeild but not exactly proportionate as you can literally grow 2/3 - 1 oz with about a solo cup sized hydro rootball and good grow conditions. Transplanting does help even if you don't push the waiting period, usually I see about a doubling in size in about 1.5 weeks. I guess I'm used pushing my small pots to get most explosive growth. I don't get rootbound because I also leave an inch or two of perlite on the bottom to prevent overwatering. Literally looks like a hydro root system with hundreds of spitting roots when you look at bottom of pot. I wait until pot dries out in 2 day or less consistantly before transplant.

At op, what is the plan with the 7 gal pots? Are you only doing one or 2 plants? 5 gallons and up tend to take forever to dry out. Personally I love the Walmart bags as they are a pretty appropriate size for single light and I can put up to 9 under my 600w. Filled up its somewhere between 3-5 gallons.

I am doing
2 strains
10 plants total
5 amnesia haze
5 power flower
Trying to grow them to a proximate the same size
TheN flower them all at the same time so I don't have to buy a new led
12h on the haze
Then 12h on the flower
While one strain has the night cycle the other get it's day cycle
All I have to do is unhook the led
And hook it again pretty simple and saves me a lot as they are so expensive

7 gal pots for all of them ( square ones )
So it all fits under the tent and the build in wardrobe

Keep the roots in the dark champ. I can't really tell cause that led lighting is tricky, but it looks like the containers are transparent.

I think it was 3.5 weeks in veg its been a cool spring over here in Australia. Both plants like a lot of heat the number 6 I put it out in post to see if anyone knew what they were. A guy seem to think that it looked a lot like c-99 as I could find anything on the number6

Googling the c-99 btw
From what I just read seems really nice and very strong

I don't smoke but I will smoke my own
If I have to start somewhere it will be right there with my own grown little ones

Definitely more veg time.
What type of LED's and how many watts? I have zero experience with LED, just wondering.
Also, just out of curiosity, why did you decide against coco?

I was advised to go with soil
For my 1st grow less chances of
Messing it up and allows me to learn how to read the plants

But my next grow will be coco
Seems easier to manage and clean and I can reuse it.

My led is a Mars hydro 960w
Kept it very close to avoid stretch
5 internodes
I topped the 5th one as I am going with
A mainlined system
And then scrogg

My real question is
How long more should I veg them for

It'd be tough to give you a certain amount of time. I'm not a scrogger, but I'd guess flower when they have almost filled the scrog net. When you switch to 12/12 (or whatever schedule you're using) your plants will stretch for at least 2 weeks before they start to grow flowers, so I'd imagine you want to leave a little room in the screen for the stretch. But I'm sure someone else who is experienced in scrogging can better answer your question.

My buddy just did a scrog it was really nice and spaced perfect on just 1 plant out of 10 in a huge walk-in closet, he let that veg for 6 weeks before flipping.

I love the look of manifold/mainlining it looks Like an optical illusion if done right.

I am looking at a 5 months grow from what I understand

If I add one more month veg
That will make 2
Then 12 weeks flower
That 's 5 months
However if that 's what it takes to have quality and a nice yeld then that's what it will be
