Ok cool. I will definitely keep an eye on that. Anything else in particular with that strain that youve had to keep close knits on?
Being a kush it was pretty damn tolerant to just about everything, pests I didnt have but I got a nice pretty color by dropping the temps low in the last few weeks of flower. They are pretty tolerant and potent with a nice yield. I grow gumboldt now as it is perfect for sog but it is (as far as I know) a clone only strain as it was a few years ago when I was given a few clones . get on http://original-ssc.com/ and search for it , by now it may be available in seed form. If you can find it I would go with it hands down. I can get 2lbs off of 25 plants in sog in a 40 inch x 40 inch tent with a 1000 hps every two months :) If you lived in Michigan I might be able to have a clone fall off the back of the truck somewheres too lol :) BB

I would ditch the tent. The tent cooks quick. If that's not possible run a window ac.. The yield isn't really important you'll get whatever you grow.. Some people use that light and get a few pounds some people get a few ounces. It's all comes down to how skilled the grower is..
Whatever dude! I know somebody who is using an 8' x 4' tent with 2k lights. His temperatures range from 78-82 degrees. Did I mention he easily pulls 5 lbs?

Damn, I'm over 700miles away from there bro. Lol. I wish I was close by. I greatly appreciate the offer. That would be great!...but I will definitely check out that link you sent me. I will do sum extensive research on that strain as well.

As for the kush info, i just screen shot your message. definitly going in my notes.

If you get a pound a light you should be happy. More experienced growers with the right strain can do 1.5 pounds per 1000watts. But not in a tent, not enough room to grow.

Hands down best way is to deal up a room completely, get a 4x8 table, hang 3 xxxl reflectors with 1000watt lights, build an XL trellis. Inject co2 and get a commercial grade dehumidifer. And have fun

I think what he was getting at was, for the money building your own room is much cheaper and will be a much better room because you fit it to your needs, your not tied down to what the manufacturer makes it. You can insulate it, put in IR blocker and still be cheaper than a tent.

And of course the mini split. Expensive but WAY worth it. If you seek what you say! You must seal the room.

Ball out son.

But to be honest you don't really know what you're doing yet whatsoever so your main goal should just be to not kill your plants

Wow, I was just on my way to make another thread about ppl experience with tents, to get a wider view of opinions. I can't really do without the tent (for unmentioned reasons). I still might make the thread. Especially knowing someone pull 5lbs out of one! Anything is possible depending on circumstance. I'm a firm believer of that. Greatly appreciate your input bro. Bless.

I strongly agree. Seeing my plants survive and completing my first indoor will be the best feeling, beyond anything else, and is the uptmost priority.

A pound for a 400 watt light is excellent , for a 1k hps, not so much if 1 gpw is the bar . I disagree strongly with not enough room to grow in a tent, I supply 5 patients with enough for 2 months off of one 40x 40 inch tent , this is not including the other experiment and production rooms . If they run through it quick cause there short on cash or whatever , I have them covered there too but they usually do not get the tip top of the iceberg so to speak,
In a tent the heat is the biggest issue you will face and you will need the best airflow you can get. for a 400 watt hps in an air cooled tent 1x1m2 I needed a 420 cfm fan for 76-80 degree temps , when I went to 600 hps it went up to a 700 ish fan and when I went up to a 1k hps I had to introduce a new vent carrying ac cooled air into it . I honestly would stick with 600 hps for smaller rooms as there more efficient then a 1k and easier to manage . Dont be told a tent is not productive , you may need to just be a little more proactive about it :) BB

That's only 1.12 grams per watt. I am sure other people here are pulling more than that.

That was my first option. I looked up the ir blockers in the past, but the room I'm growing in, the owner may need access nearby it, and I feel if I have my grow in the tent with carbon scrubbers it can decrease chance of smell leaking into other rooms.

Here is a picture of what I am running. Similar to my buddies but I grow in soil and he grows in a hydroponic setup.

That'll pound it out just fine :) Switch to DWC or ebb and flow and you'll notice a huge difference provided it is tuned and run properly. When I first started growing in soil I was happy but not, I went to hydro and shaved two weeks off of a beginning to end grow
