okay….so….

I like my A51 light a lot, but I also think I would like to add a less-expensive LED light for keeping cuttings in veg in a small cabinet space -a light with more blue and white light….maybe an aquarium light or something….? Help me out, here! I was considering going with the RW-75, but it's pricey and I don't really need the red diode/flowering option.

That's why I'm very interested in what's the best inexpensive LED light in the proper color spectrum, that would not break the bank….or light the house on fire because it isn't built safely…etc.

Can anyone address this question? Thanks!

I was all ready to buy that little green Top LED Chinese 48 X 3 light….

…but then PetFlora mentioned those high bay lights and I was torn in my decision….The only caveat about the high bay lights is that they do produce a lot more heat than the other light. The high bay light can increase ambient temps by 40 degrees! By contrast, my Area51 light only increases by about 4 degrees!!!! Is it a "bad" thing, though? Maybe not! I could actually use a little extra heat in my tent at times….Hmmmmm….I'm really on the fence on this decision. Please help me!

And then…... I saw the post by TheDawg regarding Evergrow….. and was tempted by this light for a small vegging cabinet.

The high bay light I was referring to are LEDs, same wattage as crap gro lights, but all WHITE spectrums

This was for an Idea I had 2 years ago to panel all 4 walls

1 x 2 WW @ ~ 36w

Have to figure out how to remove the diffuser

Thankfully high bay leds is a better option

Just a heads up if anyone's looking at these particular lights. Unless you want strictly veg lights (6500k) and don't mind dealing with shady Chinese business practices, stay away from this particular supplier. I thought they looked alright and was considering picking up 1 or 2 of their 300w (210W actual) to test in the next flowering round. Cheap enough to take a chance on them and test, they wanted $190/each shipped. I went back & forth with them through Ali messaging to make sure the specifications were what they claimed. All seemed well, they list colour range from 2700-6500k, they told me to specify the colour range when ordering. So, went ahead and placed the order for 2x300W lights, with very specific colour range requirements etc., and a note to cancel the order if they couldn't meet all specified requirements. That's when things went downhill. Although they list 2700k-6500k options, they only stock/carry 6500k (or do they?). Started receiving emails from some chick, asking for my hotmail address, ignored of course, eventually came back to me that they couldn't provide the 2700-3500k lights, I cancelled the order, got my refund (Ali is a good buffer, don't by-pass them). Then started getting direct emails to my hotmail account. Telling me that if I ordered them directly through them, pre-paid by cheque, they would "find and ship the lights to my specifications" - Yeah... the cheque is in the mail - lmao. They are a prime example of caveat emptor when dealing direct from China. Beware people... they are now blocked and reported through Ali, good luck.

Yeah, I couldn't get any response from them at all….sent like 4 emails….nothing.

Well…I liked the ida of a high bay light, but if I can't communicate with someone, then fuck it.

IF anyone has a legit source to order them, then I'd be down…but….

How much are you willing to spend on these "highbay" led fixtures???? would still recommend going for the cree built one, but it's just under $400 for 230w.

I'm currently talking with China (Semlight), on there 200 w. floodlight. 4 x 50w Bridgelux COBs running all 3 spectrums. These they are between 110-130 lm/w. Higher than the Cree. At the moment, I am considering buying atleast 10 as a sample order. A couple will go to me and my friends, and I will still have a few for Show and Sell. I don't plan to try and make a fortune, but enough to cover my time and make a little profit. My cost would be $370 + shipping (over a $100 each). I don't want these to cost more than $500 each. If I can get them around $450 to $500, would this be reasonable? This unit, with 4 COBs.

What bridgelux cob gets 130lm/w??? and the #'s drop significantly on the warm white variant
