It seems Detective Serino is not all that enamored with the prosecution of Zimmerman.

Serino himself calls this a political trial. Imagine that, Buck.

"Serino later said he was pressured by black officers into filing charges and did not believe there was enough evidence to support charges. That shift in stance could raise questions about the credibility of the law-enforcement witness in the murder trial."

"After the interviews were made public, Serino requested a transfer to patrol duty, including the overnight shift. He later told FBI investigators that he felt pressured by his colleagues, three African-American officers, to file charges."

"Serino hired lawyer Jose Baez, a popular media presence after his successful representation of Casey Anthony in her 2011 murder trial. Baez, who no longer represents Serino, told NBC’s Today show on Monday that Serino “did exactly what he was told through the course of the investigation, until it became outright political.”

Zimmerman is told there is a videotape of the whole incident and his response is, "thank God...". Yeah, that is the response of a person guilty of murder 2.

And Serino believes Z was telling the truth.

Buck, are you ready to throw in the towel?

"When asked at the end of the day by defense attorney Mark O'Mara about when he suggested to Zimmerman that there was a strong chance that there would be video tape of the incident, Serino said Zimmerman was happy of the possibility.

"I believe his words were, 'thank god. I was hoping somebody would of videotaped it."

When asked by O'Mara what that response indicated to him, Serino said, "Either he was telling the truth or he was a complete pathological liar."

The defense followed up by asking if pathological liar was taken off the table, did he thing he was telling the truth. Serino flatly replied, "Yes."

You have to wonder if this will ever even go to a jury? It is standard practice for defense counsel to make a motion to dismiss the charges. Based on testimony so far, I think the judge might do just that.

you also thought that serino needed to be fired for asking questions. during an interrogation.

you have proven that your opinion is worthless, and always based heavily on race.

What do you make of Serino's statements on the whole thing, Buck? He believes Z was telling the truth. He saw no large discrepancies in Z's account. He was pressured by fellow officers to bring charges that he believed were unsustainable. He asked to be reassigned to patrol duties because of this political prosecution.

Doesn't that make you think you are backing the wrong horse in this race?

doer is untrollable. i tried. it's pointless. give up.
My own good?
Who the fuck are you to tell me?

Intolerable yes he is. Will I bow to either of you I highly fucking doubt it.

My beef is with Doer, you need not apply.

I have never had an issue with you in the past so I suggest you shut your fucking mouth and mind your own business.

I will deal with the untrollable on my own thanks this needs not to be about you or anyone else except Doer and I.

Wow, if he actually testified to all that, why would the prosecution put him on the stand? I stand by my initial and unwavering position on this, wait until the trial before you convict him. How did we go from "Serino wanted to charge him" to "he was pressured to bring charges"? If they're going to run with the pathological liar angle, they better have already had Z analyzed and have it locked up. Otherwise, that's a non-starter.

I'll admit I didn't get to peruse the highlights of today's action yet, but if all this is fact, it feels like it's getting away from the prosecution.

So Serino said this:
Serino said, "Either he was telling the truth or he was a complete pathological liar."

omara said: did he say anything during the interviews that made Serino think he was a pathological liar. Serino said no.

Then this follow up:

The defense followed up by asking if pathological liar was taken off the table, did he think he was telling the truth. Serino flatly replied, "Yes."

Serino believes Zimmerman.

Dude, I just read a few excerpts from today's action. You have to admit it's going VERY badly for the prosecution so far. The prosecutors are repeatedly showing "visible frustration" with their own witnesses. It freaking seems like they're trying to exonerate him, not convict him. The female officer that was the first to interview Z may have single-handedly taken murder 2 off the table today.

Can the jury convict on a lesser charge, i.e. manslaughter?

I have no idea. If the cops keep testifying they think Z is being truthful, the prosecution is going to have a hard time getting a conviction for a misdemeanor. Maybe they have something concrete up their sleeve.

Maybe they do. Considering the damage this long list of prosecution witnesses has done to the prosecution, that concrete ace better be very damaging to Z.

Frankly, I am flabbergasted at Serino's statements. I have thought for over a year that this is just a political show trial, but I never expected Serino to more or less agree with me.

Is it too soon to demand Angela Corey's head?

This trial is very reminiscent of the Duke La Cross trial. Nifong's career and reputation were rightfully destroyed by that over reach.

The jury is wondering ' What are we doing here?'
Yes, they are...

Well, all except the African-American lady...damn I hate the hyphens in America today...but oh well...

Watching the analysts on TV tonight...they said the hyphenated female juror kept looking at "The Thug's" parents every time a prosecution witness "accidentally" corroborated Zimmerman's story...which happened quite often...she's a "planted juror" who already decided her vote before she was selected to be a juror.

Zimmerman is innocent...Tranvon WAS a thug...a hung jury is coming...5-1...5 reasonable, objective votes of "not guilty"...one hyphenated vote of "guilty", which was decided before the trial began...

Yes, automatically included lesser charges.....

And a Prosecutor has his own agenda. He is after all an officer of the Court. He doesn't have to hang the guy or put up much of a persecution. And the judge is in on it. I assure you, as are the county elders involved. Been there.

It is self rule and has nothing to do with what we want. It is what they want in that county. If they want to put a brick in the wall for stand your ground, they will.

And only Z can say if he was in fear for his life or not. And under FL law you have to prove it was not self defense in this circumstance.

So, all that went before is not relevant. It is the reasonable person defense. Would I shoot if I had a gun and had a clear inclination my assailant was going for it.....Yes.

Any resonable person would. But, manslaughter of a minor child is still 30 years in FL. And all that went before could amount to a certain amount of unreasonableness on Z part also.

No malice or anything it looks like, too.
