Your Opinion: what strain tastes the most like Weed?

Sitting outside yesterday we had CC Tahoe OG Kush, White Widow, Barneys Acapulco Gold and Barneys Mimosa Evo rolled and passed around.

I don't smoke much and didn't partake in the smoking but I commented on the burnt smell of the OG Kush as a POT smell.

The Acapulco Gold had a Hash aroma to it.

Yea I know what kind of question is that right?

I have run into tons of strains that either dont taste like anything or taste like everything but weed. So I am asking for community input.

What strain do you think tastes the most like traditional weed?
That's some open ended click bait. I think it is close enough to beer thirty now. LOL.

Over the years I've heard stories about the drugs. I have an old hippie buddy that traveled the country following the Dead around from show to show. He gets really mad when I trash talk them.
Seriously you crusty old bastard we share many likes and dislikes! I have hated the Dead all my life even though I like most hippie related things, including the Dead themselves...just not most of their music.

A song like Shakedown Street is pure magic...but then 98% of their sxxx is some weird hippie folk meandering bore that only a half dozen hard drugs could improve. Drums in Space is the perfect example of wtf is that? It sure ain't Pink Floyd or Zeppelin drumming. No it's an overwasted fool who stepped out of the crowd and walked up to the drum set and just poked away...for 20 minutes. F that noise.

The parking lot however was epic and the only real way for a lot of people to learn about the killer. My friends would come back with ANY amount you wanted from shows and sometimes did not attend shows, just the parking lot.

So yeah, I hate the Dead more than you do. The scene was amazing and the end of an era. Last of the true hippies carted themselves around with the Dead for a decade. Phish tried but it was not the same.

You guys smoke cigarettes, by chance? Back when i did, weed just tasted like weed to me too. Different strains had different effects, but I couldn't taste the nuances I do now.
I quit smoking cigs in august 2016, after about 6 months weed started to taste .... richer? More full? All around better, I don't know if there are really words to describe the change. It was my grow, so it wasn't like I got a new bag from a guy, it was the same weed I'd been smoking for over a year. I could tell the differences between strains before I quit cigs but it was more subtle. After I quit cigs, a new strain could have flavor shift as dramatic as between Coke and Pepsi. Even found there are strains I don't like to smoke, I didn't think that was a thing until after I quit smoking cigs. Everything from weed to food started tasting more ... vivid.

Someone had asked about P98 BK, I just smoked some that my dispensary claims is p98. I have no way at all to verify the reality of their claim, but it tasted damned good and did remind me of smoking back in the mid-90s as a teen.

To everyone asking about seeing a doctor if they can't smell, trust me I know more about all of that than you want to know.

Short answer -- see above. Have you ever stopped smoking cigs or cannabis and noticed if there is a difference?

Smell receptors in your nose are unlike almost any other cells in our bodies. They can regenerate themselves and will over time. (roughly 30 days to regenerate significantly, a.few days to start regenerating)

30 days is a great timeframe. If you can stop for 2 weeks or better, 30 days, you will know if you are burning them out or if you have a bigger issue.

If you still cant smell after stopping, see a doctor, but don't be overly concerned. Many people have a poor sense of smell.

"Pre 98 BK" is real. Run 2 so far. Crazy skunk from the shroom, lsd, alcohol and glam rock days.

Taste changes. Skunk is constant. LOL.
