How was the Hip? I havnt seen em in a few years.Hip tickets were $144 w/tax, floors 21 rows back but I know a "guy" so it's costing me a hotel room, gas and parking $250 + party materials and some drinks $400 without buying the tickets - lol
CNE or Maple Leaf Gardens concerts in the 70's tickets went for around $12-$15

Overall the show was good but could have been better if Gord Downie tuned down his "look at me" antics, he took away from the show and band imo. The rest of the band was great, musically they were much better than the last time I saw them (Barrie Molson Centre about 7 years ago) , band was tighter and some wicked off-script guitar licks. Gord's a brilliant writer/artist but sometimes I think he belongs in a fucking insane asylum, he should have booked himself in on Thursday night
I still think Electric is the best straight up rock&roll album of all time.
