amazing how much some tickets are for concerts now
Yes, face value for top concerts were $10 - $12.50 front row center
back in the day! Ozzy, Rush etc...$100 - $200 from a broker if you didn't know what you were doing otherwise $10 - $12.50 if you were smart.
How much are they now for front row center?

Hip tickets were $144 w/tax, floors 21 rows back but I know a "guy" so it's costing me a hotel room, gas and parking $250 + party materials and some drinks $400 without buying the tickets - lol
CNE or Maple Leaf Gardens concerts in the 70's tickets went for around $12-$15 :(

I remember always getting stuck driving cause I was the "sober" one (no alcohol), but shitfaced on pills. I swear it's a wonder I'm still alive.

I went to the Cult's Electric (30 yr) tour.

I wanted to go see Fleetwood Mac but tickets were around $175. Ticket prices are obscene. Local bands who had one hit four years ago want $50. Pshhh

See him before he goes :(
Sadly I saw him a few years ago and he was pretty shitty- voice sounded horrible but he played great
The old boy has been kicking around along time.......and in my opinion his voice has never been anything to brag about. For me its the stories behind his songs . I just think he was a tremendous song writer . Well tomorrow at 10:00 am I'll make the call and purchase a couple of tickets and hopefully we'll both still be living on 3/25/15!
Peace !

Winterland, SF, used to have $2 Tuesdays; 4 to 5 bands usually. Most other concerts were about $10. Prices now are ridiculous, shows how commercialized everything has gotten, including the music.

Holy fuck I'm ancient. I saw the Cults original Electric tour at the CNE in Toronto. They opened for Billy Idol..his Rebel Yell tour. Lead singer for the Cult went nuts and destroyed the stage. They stole the show

One of the other bands was Kingdom Come. Their first LP went gold before they ever played in front of a live audience. Their 1st LP is my most played LP of all time. I love that album and
the guitar player Danny Stagg was a friend of mine no shit.

Ha ha Dokken!
I had a friend named Winn Weaver in Burbank Cali, that was a drummer and owned a automotive shop and his dad was very famous but dead and his mom would let Don Dokken practice in her
living room in return for sex. This is before Don's 1st. LP when Greg Leon (Guitar) played in
the band then left and went on to form the band Greg Leon Invasion that he bought that
name from Vinnie Vincent of the band KISS. I would sit and watch Dokken practice in her living room along with 2 other friends of mine and Winn's. Greg played lead guitar but Don was better at lead go figure. Their music was much harder then compared to Dokkens 1st. LP in other words
he sold out to the Record Company to go soft but it worked from a few hits on the LP.
Dokken also did back up vocal on the Scorpions LP Blackout. Dokken, a couple members from Scorpions and I went to go see Winn play a gig in Hollywood together also.

In short Dokken was a dirty dog fucking a 78 year old lady just to be able to practice
in her living room on Clark St. in Burbank. I seen him a couple of weeks later standing around at a gig
at the Starlight Bowl in Burbank. Vixen and a few other bands played that night and Dokken
looked at me and said nothing but fuck him cause I hated his music bigtime anyhow.

Pre 1st LP Dokkens music was hard and killer then he went very soft for their 1st LP.
He went commercial for the Record company and sucked but he did go on to sell many LPs
of his soft stuff but not true to what he really could have put out which would have
been much better material for the hard rock crowd. This is my history with Dokken the
dirty dog. I knew him well. Maybe too well!? I know about his dirty laundry so that is probably
why he ignored me at the Starlight Bowl that night.
Wow, My mom banged one of the beach boys. That's all I got.
