HI everyone, its been a while since I have posted a Grow, I live in Rec LEgal Oregon , and we can buy clones at the state legal stores,, and man let me tell you the clone selection is massive, and they are healthy , its funny shopping for clones at a store like you would or groceries , hahaha,, I am a small Wardrobe grower, and I am doing 2 plants this time,, lately i am only doing 1 grow per year, and the one grow provides me more than i can smoke in 1 year,, I smoke alone, my wife doesnt smoke, and the stigmatism of weed still exists in my state even though its legal, so most people keep it under wraps still,, at least until it becomes more mainstream, any how,, lets have some fun, lots of pictures,, its good to see everyone again

Progressive Collective in Portland Oregon has the best selection of state legal clones around me,, there must have been over 20 varieties to choose from and the choices were hard, because they were all so good,,, but i went with BLue Dream and Obama Kush,, 2 strains i have not grown before,, i chose short ones so i can be in control of how they get taller from here,IMG_4655.JPG IMG_4656.JPG

I am a KISS type grower,, Keep it simple stupid,, i have also gravitated to water only growing, I used to Grow in SIPS,,, but this time i am going back to hand watering in soil, I am also using Fox Farms Ocean forrest and simple Tomato Tone organic Fert, provides lots of calcium and mag for the cal/mag hungry cob leds, so i mix up the blend in a wheel barrow first and fill the pots,, i am going with short 5 gallon containers this time around, they weigh so much less than the old SIPS, so this old guy can lift them by himself hahahIMG_4651.JPG IMG_4652.JPG IMG_4653.JPG IMG_4658.JPG

My Current Light is a mixture of cobs, All are on Passive Heat sinks, the four outside cobs are Citi 1812s @4000k, and are dimmable on a single driver, the 2 middle cobs are cree cxa @3000k and are on single seperate non dimmable drivers, its been a while since i watt mattered this thing but if my old brain serves me its something like 375 watts fully cranked up, and gives something in the neighboorhood of 62 watts per square foot, needless to say i have yet to run it at full power in flower, right now only the citi's are on and dimmed down to around floro strength, this light will probably outlast me, since I have only been doing 1 grow a year nowIMG_4664.JPG

Howdy Mr. Fox.

Just wondering about your comment on how Cal/Mag hungry your girls are growing under LED's. Growing with Viparspectra 600W Reflector series LED's here in Pro-Mix HP and each plant gets 1 tsp. Botanicare CalMag + 2 tsp. Fox Farm Tiger Bloom per Imperial gallon during flower at every feeding and feeding is every 6th day. They get plain distilled water in between feedings.

Step up the amount of Cal/Mag or is 1 tsp every 6th day good enough?

Tim may have some other info to share, but my experience has been that there is no single answer to that question. Just like with any specific nutrient, some strains seem to need more than others, so expect LEDs to impact them differently. I regularly grow a handful of different strains at a time and they each have individual needs. I guess the trick is to learn the signs of over-doing it, and know when a specific strain, pheno, or just individual plant is getting more than it needs.
