Yet another auto problem

My RynoRyder auto flower is at day 52, started flowering 2 days ago, I'm pretty sure there's some root rot going on and I really need to transplant her.. what kind of damage and stress am I looking at doing?

As long as you don't mess up the transplanting, the shock shouldn't been TOO bad. I mean, yes there is no way of avoiding the stress, it really messed my last grow up. Always start in the final container. Are you sure that the problem is root rot? Is she not root bound? How big is your pot? And what are your symptoms? Got any pics?

Never encountered root rot myself but if you're in soil you might try something like Roots Excelurator or some other root solution.

I've seen a hydro friend just cut off a bunch of root ends sticking out of the basket and put in clean water treated with that and brought their plants back. But they were in veg, not sure how it would do in flower.

That stuff is expensive though. Might be a cheaper or better option.

well i guess it could be bound.. the leaves started eating themselves and turning brown and crispy. I will look on my phone and see if i can find a pic, if not, after work.

Here is why i feel i need to transplant, i was trying an experiment with a pc grow. i made a sketch of it because it takes too long to explain, so check out the pic.
so once she started popping thru i instantly realized its a mistake and made an upgrade to a empty filing cabinet, its perfect. but now my plant is 52 days old and those roots gotta just be sitting in the corner of that pot... and its actually not a pot its a fabric bag i got from the food store that i just rolled down the top and put soil in. so it makes matters worse because it causes like a ball in the corner which is making it difficult to get water to.

Brown and crispy? My first guess would be overnuting actually. But I've not had root issues so no experience there.

When my plants got brown and crispy it was a combination of over feeding, light too close, and pH fluctuations.
All those could be a factor too. I was trying to force her into flower with tiger bloom, and watered her 3 times in a week and a half. so you might have a good point here. i cut the tips off any of the infected leaves.. anyone hear of an auto going 90+ days? because if this thing is doing well, thats where im heading

Wow, yeah, could also be the root rot with that much water.

Cut tips off infected leaves? Or was that affected leaves? No point really, that's just more stress, and has no benefit. That's salt sucking water from cells, killing them.

As a recently former newb, my advice is to flush that thing, maybe with some kind of root aid like a hygrozyme, flush the hell out of it, feed it a 1/4 dose of your nutes immediately after, pH'd of course, and don't water again till its dry.

For the record, you said it's an Auto. That means no need to force flowering, she'll flower after about a month all by herself.

Changing your nutes is important too, but autos often need less than photoperiods, so you've almost certainly burned the hell out of her.

affected** you might be able to see a few spots from this pic. She needed water bad last night so i gave her straight distilled, I have microryza, should i cover the soil in it and water with 1/4 nutes?

I was only trying to force because I honestly didn't think she was going to flower, she had pistols for 2 weeks and no signs of flowering, just massive vegging. But know I know she was going thru the last growth spert.. this is my first auto, I thought she was just going to veg out till she died lol

Ok, not the brown and crispy I was imagining.

Some of the spots look like nutrients splashed on the leaves. The round spot in the middle of that one leaf for example. Your leaf tips also show some burn. Some of the leaves toward the bottom with the brown are probably just senescing from lack of light. My lowest leaves do this too if I don't keep up with defoliation. (Yes, I'm a defoliator.)

Full disclosure, I'm no expert, but I'd do what I recommended. I don't think the bennies will help this, at all.

Also, depending on the variety, it may be a long flowering auto. If it's Sativa dominant, this isn't uncommon. And it's rarely done when the breeder says. I project at least an extra week, maybe two. I just finished two Snowstorm #2, and I chopped 9 days later than they said. If I listened to them I'd have cut nutes a week early.

Don't sweat it man, it's a learning experience. I ruined three Fast n Vast my first auto grow. Over fed them.

Thanks alot holmes, I'm not going to bother transplanting then, I'll do what your saying and let her do her thang. Hopefully I see some progression soon.

Wow, just realized, you were at day 52 and just started flowering? Is that the Fast Buds Rhino Ryder? If so, good luck but I'm really not sure whats going to happen.

Now I'm not so sure what I suggested will get you to a harvest, not with an auto.

Don't know man, sorry.

Yeah that's what I'm saying... the thing is hardly starting to flower, whatever, I'm going to stick with it, spring is on the way, and my greenhouse will be loaded with beautiful vegitation soon enough. I will still keep posted on this thing, for all I know, in two weeks she will exlode with nugs

And yeah fastbuds RR

I couldn't even tell you what day this is, probably week 10, I think this thing is gunna be a fuckin 14 week auto lol..
but I've gotten thru all my issues at this point, just giving her very light feedings every day or so. Figured I'd send over an update. Hopefully I'll have some fatties to post in a few weeks! Thanks for the help
