anything can be made to work but there are soils with disregard to grower skill which will net better results than mg not to say a good harvest can not be had from mg. peace

i wonder if MG has gotten a bad name, cause I bet most people first time growing buy MG, but its their first time, and they fuck shit up, and think its cause MG soil sucks, then after a couple grows they have accumulated some knowledge about growing, light cycles, nutes.. etc.. they never go back to MG and they think it sucks..

just a thought.. cause FDD and Filthy's plants look bomb.com

peace n luv

I don't think it's as much that MG sucks and doesn't work. If it comes down to it, lots and lots of people use it with excellent results. I think it's just that in a controlled enviroment with an experienced grower, they can get better yeilds using other products.

I took 3 clones from the same mother.

One went into ProMix soil and used GH maxi series nutes
Another into FF ocean forest soil and FF nutes
The third into MG moisture control, nothing but water.

All got lime and perlite. They all got x-planted for flowering. All got a shot of Kool Bloom at week 5 or 6. And all got molasses.

The MG produced the most, FF next and PM last. But the spread wasn't more then 5-6%.

I'm happy with the MG. Its a nice hands off system with predictable results.
(I think when people use it as a hands on system they screw it up. Also using clones skips the delicate seedling stage)

i've heard decent things from miracle grow but i've heard negative things about miracle grow with slow release nutes in it.

dont be fooled by a products name just because its called "miracle grow"

they are still mass producing this product so you know they arent making it like they could be.:cuss:

This is about my 3rd or 4th grow with MG potting mix, never had a prob before .....ever , i always thought that the nutes in the soil are so "little" that it did not matter . (of course never using too much nutes...hardly any) Now i got the best room i have had in a while and got MG mix again , and started with clones already in cups of dirt and they look like SHIT ! i used about 60% MG mix and 40% peat moss.....(is that much moss a problem? i ussally use MG mix and a lil perlite and vermiculite) So it is a toss up between the water i am using OR the MG nutes ???? my ice seeds dont mind it as bad as my afgani ????? i also been usin 6.0 water (no nutes) for almost 2 weeks to no aval?

( I would always use foxfarm mix if i had the money but hey i settle for what i can.)

I say no! I used it, and it gave me nute burn. Better off using regular soil and adding the nutes carefully and regularlly yourself. I really do not see any pros in it at all.

if you can afford or get nothing else use it if you can afford or find better soil use that. besides even miracle gro makes a very basic organic soil so there is no need to use the timed released stuff it causes too many problems.

has a ph lvl of 5.0... i say no... stuff like FF isnt mass produced... they take time and care into their product.. there are a lot better things in their soil mix also... and their nutes/ferts. if ur going to grow weed. go big or go home. fox farm or bio bizz imo

Its mass produced, don't fool yourself. Its shipped all over the US, truckloads at a time. Its not a handmade 'craft soil'

Plus its been known for sometime that the lot it comes fro is dwindling down, so now its 'cut' with other soil.

FF is fine, but not worth twice the price.

roots organics is good otherwise i use fox farms there both similar and im willing to try promix. otherwise if i cant get those i grow in pure perlite and vermiculite(hempy)
