i would go for about 2500 kelvin for flowering (the last stage where the buds come out)
and 6500 kelvin for veg :)

thats 2700k for flowering and 6500k for veg...and you can use a mix of all of these throughout flower and veg...i used 5-1 ratio of 6500k for veg and a 6-1 ratios of 2700k for flower...mix those spectrums up..it helps

thanks for your advice i'll go to my local hydroponic store and buy the propper gear
migh be cheaper on ebay....hydro shops can overcharge for the simplest of things....here is a link i found for one...probably half the price of a hydro stores gear....can probably a decent reflector and/or hood on ebay also...but here is the link...http://cgi.ebay.com/15ft-Lamp-Cord-Mogul-Base-Porcelain-Socket-/290501064160?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a33675e0#ht_1187wt_1139

I've used those for flowering and they worked fine. I had three of them in a small 3 x 3 foot cabinet (in addition to a single 100w 6,500 cfl). They do heat up though, so make sure you extract air out from the top of the grow space. BTW, they are 4,000 kelvin, not 6,500 so they're okay for flowering.
