I'm getting ready to crash course this hempy thing... first grow ever

Quick question.. anybody use the KISS method for nutes? Ive got some young ones and I'm wondering how soon most people are nuting their hempys. Any KiSS schedules for coco hemp would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all
When we have roots coming from the Root Riot Cubes, they can go right into our Coco Hempy Cups and start feeding CNS17 at 3.5ml Per HALF GALLON which gives us 350ppm (.5)

I Think that's about as KISS as it gets :D

Thanks. I'm not using cubes, I have sprouts in solos right now. I saw on another forum, the op said he used kiss from seed to harvest. And also read other hitting with 1/4 nutes at a week. The kiss method I'm referring to uses maxi bloom to imitate Lucas.

Just so many opinions out there. Just trying to find my groove this first time around.

And btw... I only have 2 real leaves right now and just about to pop the next set.

350... is that with your base line or without?

Awww,, Gotcha!! Then 350 might be a little much at this stage, but not too far off if they are in Coco. I dont/havent used the KISS Maxibloom, so I cant really comment on it, but what I like about the CNS17 is that its designed for Coco, and so far, I have not needed to Supplement with CalMag,, So I am liking it up to this point.

My 350 was simply HALF GALLON RO Water with 3.5ml CNS17 for Coco. That's about it.. At this PPM, the PH Comes to 5.8-5.9, so no need for any PH UP either.

I use controlled release nutes as soon as they root but you can use nutes anytime after you see roots. I would use the water water nute method or just use at half strength.

Training plants can be done many ways, I train mine under a screen with a grid of 2-3 in squares. You could do something similar to mine with some string and duct tape. Just tie the apex tip down even with the rest of the plant and duct tape the string to the bucket. Just use your eye and position the branches out and away from the main stalk, the idea is to get the arms horizontal and cause those little growth tips on the branches to shoot up. I still like the screens and I still do tie branches down till they get into the position I want. There are a bunch of good plant training threads here which is where I found many of my ideas.

Tsboss if you are using larger than 250w HPS you should be able to achieve similar results I would think. Training will definitely increase yield but the drawback is extended veg time.
Yes I have a 600 watt and 1000 watt so if I could get atleast 1.5 I would be in tears of joy lol

I can see where you are coming from hoping to speed up the veg period by dropping a couple drips of grow into the watering. Definitely done that myself in the past. With 2 sets of leaves and a 3rd on the way, the plant will actually use all the food in original leaves (cant remember the name clyodin?) and they'll fall off from being consumed. By the 4th set of leaves you can start giving it some nutes (Unless you see some yellowing of the leaves). It could also be a pH lockout issue. Pics certainly help if you have them.

I had some deficiencies using powder Maxibloom. Switched to GH flora micro and florabloom with much better results

I second that. He's had computer issues in the past and was forced to read the forums from his tv. Said it was more than difficult responding via that method. I hope he's not having neighbor problems :/

Hy everyone been having so much trouble 8 of my full grown tree mothers died, thought it was cuz of overnute then I thought it was a calmag. Then I see these little bugs on my leaves. They don't look like spider mites since they aren't round and I see no webs but they are causing the same kind of damage so imma declare war on them! Fog, oil spraying then azamax spraying then worst comes to worst ill burn these mothers to the ground! Oh and predatory mites too. Then if worst comes to worst ill suffocate them with co2 for a couple hrs at 10000 ppm. If they still around by then ill just let them have the moms and wave a white flag

Heres my wicked hempy views from below. They went 12/12 6 days ago and once the stretch and all the trimming up top is done Ill leave them be for a bit, then Ill come through and remove all their bits from underneath! I get them from both sides eventually!

Little spots like this you can see the screen is visible still but theres a bunch of nodes right under there just about to poke through.

How do I tell if they are thrips or spider mites? They look too long to be spider mites and I see no webs. Oh well if its thrips then its easiest to get rid of then spider mites

thrips usually eat the leaves from underneath check under the leaves for little nibbles ,neem oil should take care of it .

Those look like aphids Smooth. Those are wings i see right? If so grb one and look at it under a scope...if on its ass it has what looks like two tailpipes/cannons/appendages you have aphids. They are very very hard to kill. Aphids will be fliers as well as crawling in your roots.
