Anyone have experience building a DIY PVC grow tent? Any tips? I am looking at constructing a 1" PVC frame, probably 4' (wide) X 8-9' long and 6-6.5' tall. I am not going to cover it, I just want to construct the frame, I will mylar the walls in the room around the frame. Any tips from someone who has built one before would be appreciated..

Admire the thought of using something like that, do you have a heigth restriction for it only being 6-6.5 tall? I would go as high as possible, the other thing is where have you found 3 way connectors for the corners, I have found them for 1/2 and 3/4 inch, but not anything larger. You will get some sag over time from the weight of lights.

Plaetorian, these 3 & 4-way connectors help a lot vs. the standard "T" plumbing fittings you get at the hardware store. They are made for construction projects such as yours (fluid applications would be useless.) Amazon has them as well as a multitude of other shops online. Just one of these saves both a "T" and an "elbow" for tent corners. The 4-way shown is good for center supports away from corners. These are good for SCROG screen frames as well.

My FIM job is growing out weird on my new veg plants...looks like this strain may just forget that I cut it and grow itself normally with "clipped" leaves. I clipped 80% of the inner growth like before...but I was a ≈1week early this time. Anybody think I should go back in on it with scissors before it's too late?

The height wont be really much of an issue man, I grow only SOG 2l bottles so I never get any plants over 25" or so and I can keep the lights about 16" away from the tops. I am however trying to be mindful of possible changes to my setup over time and not trying to build something that might not be flexible for other uses.

The design I have drawn out on paper would include 4 cross supports for the chain attachments to my reflectors. I want to avoid sag over time so I think 1" PVC is needed.

Picture of my hermie in sunlight. Triple checked my set up and temps, lights, darkness, et cetera all seem fine. Really hoping my other seed plants dont herm as this appears to be a true hermie. Found bananas first and now seeing full on male pods at internodes. These girls all smell amazing and some have enormous nugs forming so i have this girl on my upper floor isolated to see if it only pops early in flowering. If so I may keep the genetics. securedownload-362.jpg

I have some actually. I have read conflicting views on Reverse. Some have said that it works well when applied at the start of flower but when used later (im at almost 4 weeks) that it can exacerbate the issue. However some have said it works later in flower. I am going to try it out.

I'm gradually moving from Mapito to CoCo and I've found the brand of nutes I want to try next in my 2L's. I'm very happy with GH FLora series as base nutes but just want to try something different for CoCo. I'm going with the 'Hesi' CoCo series. Hesi are a well known Dutch manufacturer and very respected in Holland and Europe.

It's a one-part formula with 5ml/liter of either grow or bloom through-out the grow. Just have to mix additives as required.

Thanks. I'm not using cubes, I have sprouts in solos right now. I saw on another forum, the op said he used kiss from seed to harvest. And also read other hitting with 1/4 nutes at a week. The kiss method I'm referring to uses maxi bloom to imitate Lucas.

Just so many opinions out there. Just trying to find my groove this first time around.

And btw... I only have 2 real leaves right now and just about to pop the next set.

350... is that with your base line or without?
OC+...nothin simpler!
be easy!

Cheers dude. How are your Purple Hempys?
Thanks Moebius, they are doing great! The plushberry is by far the biggest yielder. The plush's are 27" and have a spiraling staircase of bud sites all the to the bottom of the stem. I'll have to take some pics tomorrow and post. Qrazy train is winning in the frost area. Everything smells of berry candies in the tent. It's delicious and often find myself staring at them for a long time without realizing how long.
