World Of Hempy

Thanks for all the positive comments Hempy Brothers.....I really don't have a green thumb however. I just tripped on to a method that I try to keep up with it given the variables of strain and hempy mediums I'm trying. As a matter of fact I burnt some Blue Cheese newbies twice recently not knowing Blueberry strains are "sensitive". So on with some Barneys Farm LSD (sprouts are looking good so far). If I wanted to, I could run the same strain over and over and maximize yields on that alone. But our state's MMJ laws have a 25 mile rule where if a dispensary opens within 25 miles, they take away your cultivation rights on your next years MMJ card. So I'm trying as many strains as possible before that happens, just for the experience of it all.

A couple more pics of my coco/hempy setup...from the left are Anesthesia, Sugar Punch, and Uberkush. I use a Growzilla dual-bulb hood with 600w 4k MH and 400w HPS, plants sure seem to like the spectrum spread. The big Uberkush is four weeks into flower at this point. The second pic is a closer shot of the Uberkush. For those not familiar with Uberkush, it's a femmed KO Kush x Skubba, Sannie offered it for a while but discontinued it due to reports of herms...I'm keeping a close eye on her, to be sure.

My two Pineapple Express's grown in 2 gal "mapito" hempy buckets are now history and "on the books". Trimmed all Friday eve and did two sessions today...still have 25 golf ball sized buds around the mid's that need trimming tomorrow. Too, I need to singulate the small buds off the big colas for assurance during the drying process (can't put those colas in a jar either). This I can say is my best all time harvest for two plants. My experience says 9oz dried. My quest to get the most from a small 2.5' x 4.5" footprint with only 400W in my home has found closure. As I trimmed this I found that it is "identical" to my C99 buds from last grow for look and smell...it's just that these are rock solid colas that are freaking heavy and not "airy". I dropped some scrapings off the scissors in a bowl and was ethereally enlightened by just a few vapor hits. There has to be some C99 in PE's lineage. The last pic are some "fatties" that weren't as long. By the way these plastic coated clothes hangers from Wallmart are awesome for drying....

man I'm pineapple jealous. How long was your veg or at what height did you flip them to 12/12? Oh and I'm assuming these we're from seeds and if so did you keep a cutting from them?

Sky, I know it's important to the SCROG'ers here so pardom me for elaborating on your question. Yes these were from seeds (G13 Breeder). I transplanted from party hempy cups at day 17 and flipped 12/12 at day 30. I FIM'ed once creating only 3 new main shoots (wanted 4). I went a little deep on the FIM cut I'm thinking. They were ≈14" high at the flip. Eventually they became 48" at the end weeks of flower. Oh, yeah, I never kept a cutting, still have 4 seeds though.

At the start they were the smallest sprouts I'd ever seen.

Before and after transplant @ day 17 of veg.

What they looked like day 30 when flipped. Not really yellow...just a shitty camera.

@ jela 10 thanks for the thorough input. I take all good info and feedback and use it for my personell resources. As I have a 400 watter sitting around that I can put to good use.. But I may play around with coco as I will wait in two weeks to germinate my 3 p.e. for future moms for my future 2l sog armyettes

Last pix of the 4x4 as a veg cab (till pre seasonal ODG). I'm thinking of turning some moms into 50/50 per/verm or 2/1, so I only have to water every 5 days or so. Hence some new clones that I just took Friday. These moms may just get stuck in veg for the upcoming season. Will post pix of the veg n bloom tents once I have them set-up.

Pix in order: Clones just transplanted to cups; 2Ls about to go to 12/12; Low shot of everything; complete 4x4 tent. Peace!!

Forgot to add the rest of the clones from the original clip are males for my breeding project (at a later date). I take 5 of each just so I know I will get atleast one lol. Atm all 5 rooted on all of them, I got 100% on my last batch of clones :)

Edit again >.< Question to anyone that has done any breeding in hempys. Would there be any issue running males in a hempy? I personally wouldn't think there would be any difference/problem, just thought i'd check. Thanks

So here's a clone of the plushberry exhibiting the features of being extremely mature. Notice the swollen calyx. Has anyone experienced this behavior before?

edit:

sorry for the EXTREMELY MASSIVE pictures. Is there any way to scale them down?

Irfanview is a free, and simple editor.. nothing as powerful as paintshop or other stuff, but does quite a bit of conversion of pic type and re-sizing/basic edit. :D Hope this helps!

I don't understand what you're saying drdank. Are they in flower? Or were they cloned in flower? It looks to me how an outdoor plant flowers, if you know what I mean.

The clones were taking from a mom in veg. This is now a clone from that mom in veg. These have never seen a light cycle outside 18/6.

Wow I'd say they definitely look like they're flowering. Have you ever grown outdoors? That's kinda how outdoor plants flower, at least in my experience. Might want to check the timers cuz that sure as shit looks like its budding to me. Any chance it's an auto?

I know I thought it looked rather odd too. I tried explaining the phenomenon, but I don't think I was able to explain it properly. It's the only plant exhibiting these features. Extremely odd and had to share with WOH.

Lots of strains have ruderalis in them. Could have a higher percentage in that pheno and/or something environmental caused the switch. My friend had 2 mother plants that did that, but they were both pretty root-bound. Took clones for him and got new mothers (clones of the moms) rooted and growing normal again. They do look like they are on their way into bloom, and as Chaka said, it really does look like an outdoor flowering.

Shaggin, thing you hit the nail on the head. I have had this mom in a 2 liter for 12 weeks without trimming the root ball. Think the root bound may have caused this issue.

12 weeks!!! Ya, i bet if you checked the bottom has weaved itself into a nice tight knot. Momma prolly just needs her roots trimmed back, or make a new mom. Are those fresh clones in the pic? How old are they? If they were just taken off the mom, they will flip back. That bright purple vein is wicked. Can see where you get the purpling from, very nice :)

update.. moms are almost 4 months old now... i really should space them out... they getting wild. trimmed them up a bit after the shot. the panoramic mode made the plants look small but oh well there was no other ay of getting them all in one shot. the room is a 10x11 so resize in your mind. im gonna veg for one more month space them out and then flower them to high heaven. hopefully i can get a good yield off them.

IMG_0657.jpg

room two are the 150 clones in solos... so i realized how much work this many clones is.. yall were so right. flooding causes the cups to fall over.. and some died. so i had to go back to hand watering. imma fill this side of the room up with 60 more clones and then on the other side im going to do straight 2 liters. so about 60 2 liters bottles on the other side.

the panoramic mode makes the room look so small tho...

the front wilting plants in coco are a friends.. he burned them so im trying to heal them as best as i can... but its not my main concern...

bout to order 10 c99 fem seeds from female seeds and 10 romulan diesel seeds from next gen.

Got the buddies ex gf in a plastic bag in a ditch huh? lol. Those plants are enormous. You should lolipop the bottom 1/3 of those monsters 10-14 days after you flip to flower bro...you wlill get chunky nugs. I would buy a fuckload of cfl as well and hang em all around the lower portions of those plants. If you do those two things you will be stoked come harvest.
