Man this thread is great! I just started my first hempy grow and i hope my plant comes out half as nice as the plants i seen on here. The strain im doing is a Big Devil auto shes about 4 weeks from sprout. Does anyone have experience with this strain?

Hey Stevie.

Great to have another Hempyneer drop in on WoH. .. I personally haven't any experience with any auto's. Would be great if you could post a pic here of your 'Big Devil'. :peace:

Very nice bud pr0n, thanks for sharing! :D How stable is your sandwidow geno/pheno-wise? Had seen it posted in various places, and was contemplating a breeding project with it in the future.

First grow with the sand widow. So i cant really say. No hermie or anything yet.

Good to see you made it over here Stevie. These guys are great here and always willing to help.

Hey ss was your blue dream by humboldt? Because I have 3 beans from them along with blue rhino by positronics. What medium and wattage did you use to get the yield from your blue dream also where they a stretchy strain?
Howdy sr. Yes they were from hso. One was in 3 gal coco/perl and one was 4 gal coco/perl. Both grown under 600w hps. One I let grow natural and she finished around 3 1/2feet, the other I fim'd (I think, it was my first attempt) and she was only around 20 inches but had 6main colas. So I guess they're a bit stretchy if left unattended. I just started my last seed 2 nights ago and am prob gonna top. Thdy had roughly 2 weeks veg.

Sounds like a plan, mighty g.

There shouldn't be any issue with flowering your plants early. TBH. If you let them get a good start to the res before the switch you'll have better results.
thanx moby. When seedlings are ready to transplant I was thinking of vegging the expendables for 2 weeks and then flower.I know older plants are usually more potent, but I wasn't sure if the time leading up to flower was needed to produce thc. Also, I've been reading through beginning of the thread and was wondering if you've changed your procedure any due to the experimenting everyones been doing.I only have about 3,500 posts to read to catch up.I didn't study this much in school.

Ive dialled in my GH nutes. I now use some 'grow' solution with the Lucas ratio.
I use Mapito. and I'm experimenting with CoCo coir.
Using longer rooted clones in my 2L hempys because I don't give veg.

ummm. I'm sure I can think of lots more but im stoned already and havent had breakfast.:clap:lol

ask any specifics you like.

My current nute 2L Hempy regime.

Base
Week 1 - 7
4ml Bloom
2ml Micro
1ml Grow
MagneCal (Plant Magic) .5ml per litre

Bloom Enhancers
Big Bud 1ml in week2 then 2ml until week7

Flush
1ml Seaweed extract in Week 8

Miscellaneous
A splash of Hygrozyme (not measured) when I feel like adding it.

Added notes
I use regular city tap water and don't use a pH meter or actively manage it. My pH is lowered using the range of nutes and additives in my line-up. It works for me. ... I will in a few weeks start 'experimenting' with 'Canna's' organic pH down (citric acid) just to see how the plant responds to slight changes in pH but this is final dialling in.

edit:
per liter measurements.
Also, this is for well rooted clones. Starting this high with seeds will not work.

Hey Moebius, hows that "super hempy" project coming along with all the organic additives you had laying around? That looked like an interesting project.

Interesting how miles apart we and how little we converse about nutes or feeding schedules, that it closely resembles each techniques. The big differences is I don't add Big Bud and I only add cla/mag at weeks 3 and 6, seaweed every other week.

I like the addition of 'grow' into the equation, its not much but Ive found the extra N doesnt seem to hinder P or K uptake but keeps the plant nice and green. I'm considering dropping it @ the end of week6 but again, just a little tweaking to see any effects.

Big Bud is new for me. .. In the past I may have been dismissive of that product and similar but so far I like it. .. Its not like a raw acid like PK13/14 but seems more organic, it smells of molasses. Time will tell if I stick with it although I do feel its easier to use than the PK13/14 because its not so concentrated.

I'm a fan of having seaweed extract in the grow-cupboard. There's almost no downside to including it into the regime. I've started to use it for flush because it will prevent any def's in micro's that might otherwise arise from a week under 600W with only plain water, also I feel the micro's in the seaweed will help enable the plant to use those stored nutes that we as growers want gone before the chop. ... Ive not read it anywhere but just makes sense to me.

i use my citys tap water as well. i recently switched to GH flora micro (hardwater) and flora bloom with a drop of superthrive here and there. my ph is always 6.0-6.1 with my ppm at 685. pretty sweet not having to add ph up or down anymore.

It wasn't doing so well. Last week I pulled it. I would have taken pics but it was in my tech-down period.

It had stunted and growth was minimal in comparison. The mix smelt like Dog Crap. Every time I entered the grow-room I would check the bottom of my shoes because I couldnt believe the stench was coming from a Hempy. ... Even if it had succeeded, the smell of 160 of them would have made my property smell like a sewage treatment works.
