My girlfriend has had a job working 40+ hours a week for a few years now, as the Head of a Nursery/daycare at a local church. The pastor of the church runs the whole hiring and firing process. She told him that she was pregnant, he asked if she was married, she said no, and she was immediately fired. This is discrimination right! She and I plan on speaking to my grandmother's lawyer tomorrow, she is distraught as hell because she lost her only job. There were no stipulations about this when she was hired, and nowhere is it in her contract.

The worst part is, christians are to be non judgemental and forgiving, not this cockfaced asshat of a pastor. I cannot believe the sheep that attend that silly evangelist(yeah shes one of those:() cult listen to him.

See now i love hearing stories like this,not because i wish anybody any ill will but because if you/she plays the cards right there will be a payfukinday at the end of all the mess,the icing on the cake for me would be the prick pastor being taken down a few pegs.

Get a lawyer & sue big time.

sueing a church is alot like:

trying to get the weed bill passed but some kid who got fucked up on way bigger drugs and killed his friend is in the way.. so the people that are against it getting passed abuse that story.

(plus my sister is planning on becoming a traveling nurse! how does your girlfriend like it?)

Omg thats fuck'p up dude...... Im sure you'll win the case.. your girl can stay at home for the last 5 months !!!!!!!!!!! With pay... and 3 months after its been born she can stay at home no problem !

That dickhead....... i would sue him for loads of money...

It does not seem that the pastor has thought this all the way through.

yes sir get the best lawyer in town these guys will see dollar signs you wont have to pay them a dime, they get 30% and the rest is yours, rest assures they will get an assload of money in the settlement since they get 30%

dog be smart make sure you shop around every highly aclaimed lawers in town and choose the best one

this stupid nigga needs to get sued. but really if you wanna just squash the shit and not get money you can just send a letter from your lawyer to reinstate your gurls job and he pobably will


i cant believe the nerve of this guy, he is using his power as an employer to dictate his out of date morals on innocent free citizens

look up emplyee discrimination as a start and find the proper lawers in you state theough the internet and tell them your story, they will cling to you like white on rice

Another reason most christians are huge fucking hypocrites... This whole thing screams of hypocrisy. Get a lawyer, that is discrimination.

Heres the thing Whoop its not just church, its a FULLTIME CAREER/JOB, if she didnt get fired, she would have spent the rest of her life at this job, the daycare is not non-profit(with the exceptions of sundays and wedsday nights for church service. She went to college for 4 years and planned her whole lifetime career around running/managing a daycare, preferably the one she helped start there at the church which she was fired from, and he took away her dreams for no good reason, and a really really nice salary.

I told her when she goes to pick up the rest of her salary, dont say anything, just be kind and thank him for the job, then leave immediately I told her anything she says could jeopardize it all.

The lawyer i talked to just said that pastor will be hung by his toenails. The guy my grandmother has for a lawyer is a retired circuit and district court judge, and she set up everything with him. If it goes all the way to trial and whatnot, It will be in the same county and courts that my lawyer used to be a judge for, so ive got a good chance.

That is TOTALLY illegal, and reminds me of what happened to me when I first got pregnant. She should also contact your state's labor board.

holy holy shit turbo!!!!! wire that gurl up wire her up!!! make sure your lawyer says its ok but make your gurl get a good tape recorder and have her have this kind of convo when she gets her check:

"Sir i just came to get my check, I cant believe you fired me over this, is it considered that bad to have a baby and not be married? (her playing ignorent)

then hopefully he will say yes im sorry dear but we dont approve of that around here:mrgreen:

i dont think its necessary to wire her up, she was told on a voicemail that she will recieve her check in the mail and that she is no longer employed for sure after the "elders" had a meeting about her.

Jesus taught faithfulness. A child born out of marriage will be less loved, have less faith, and turn out to be a problem, more than likely.

Besides, you cannot join a tennis club if you do not play tennis.
Therefore you can't be part of the Christian club if you don't play Christian.

Why not just marry her, and thank the pastor for pointing out to you the best thing to do FOR THE CHILD.

Still, the pastor could have talked it through better tried to be more persuasive rather than autocratic. Did he try?

its not always best to marry for the child. IE if the man is abusive IE if the man was a drunk IE if the man and women always argued all the time, then its better for her to raise the child without the father. either way in america an employer has no right whatsoever to fire anyone for any reason other than a valid one.

also when you marry a gurl its easyer for her to try to control you through your child and divorce proceedings, you dont want certain types of men or women to have that kind of power over you no matter what gender you are

not all people will do that but some definatly will:mrgreen: trust
