everclear is the strongest on the market

depends on the state u live on the str .......180% or 192%..............this stuff is almost strait ethanol
if u are going to drink this stuff u need to cut it some other wise u troat will be on fire............it has no sugars so the effects are fast it hits u like a ton of bricks with in matter of 15 to 20 mins ..........so 2 shots stop for 30 mins see how u are (drinking to much of this will kill u if u are weak on what u can handle)........even i do not drink this stuff anymore

just so u know anything over 170% can be used as gas in a car ...........so storing a 1/5 or a gallon of something strong in your trunk might be a good idea ........it is cold and u have to walk keep warm /or it is just a long ass walk atleast it some what fun /fuel for the car/fuel to make a fire / u always have a party in your trunk

Only Everclear I can get at the stores is the 151 as well (~75%) but I'm thinking of trying the Dri-Rite thing to remove some/most of the water.

ACH will evap out before the water does .........this is one of the distiller trick to taste flavor ( take a shot and set it out for 3 days come back and taste what is left )

the only way to make it stronger is to distil it more .............at it current lvl there is a chance of a bomb going off it u have not done this before and know the warning signs

u really do not need all that much .............correct if so i can teach a simple method of doing it cost u 20 bucks and the price of something with a cork and strong bottle

u take the bottle (use barcardi 8 year old) cork and strong bottle
set it to the side
go to the store and get yourself some copper 1/4 inch inlne (refrig kit ice maker) or just get the coil

next u need a drill take the cork of the bottle and drill a 1/8 hole tho it then take a 1/4 bit to it and use it by hand or a hand crank (high speed will wiggle and make to big)

now u need to make a coil ...............the best way is to get a broom or mop and put a peice of pvc pipe ove the shaft then put one end into so something so the pipe can spin but the broom is held .......i used 2 inch pipe then u wrap it copper around the pipe making a coil (keep strait and not kinks as u wrap there needs to be atleast 1/2 inch space between the coils .......the size of the coil depends on the size of the pot u use to hold cold ice water needs atleast 6 wraps)

one end of the coil u will slide it into the cork so it is just poking out the bottom (the cork is going in the bottle so make sure coil is going in from the top )..........now u take a pot fill half way with water and if u have one of those Cooling racks that will fit in the bottom of the pot put it in ..............now fill the bottle half way with everclear and put the cork with coil on and put in the pot with water (u have a double boiler) .........now the coil go across to a anouther pot filled with water and ice ....and the other end of the coil is pointed down so u can capture it when comes out


i told u this design for the simple fact it is pressurized..........when u turn the heat off all the steam and stuff in the coil will be sucked back into the bottle (vacum)


this is best done with electrical eye since not a open flame

Moonshine works very well. If you know the person making it you get get it at 195 proof. Works great with real corn moonshine. I never used the sugar based moonshine tho.

The fuel jetting is different for ethanol, because it takes more of it than gasoline. We converted a Volkswagen to run on ethanol, and found that dividing the jet size by .49, would give the correct jet size about 104% larger. It also required a hot engine to be drivable, and was impossible to start on really cold mornings. We had to start on a blend and switch it straight ethanol.

Yup, it works for parties, where the nuances of finely aged liquor are not selection criteria. I can remember parties with 5ths of 190 proof in punch bowls in my youth. Sometimes on the sly and sometimes more than one covert contributor. A lot of folks puking, instead of jumping into bed as they originally envisioned.

I've made some damn fine liquors using 190 proof and sampled some fine white lightening, but it was closer to 120 proof, because it takes multiple runs or a compound refluxing still to reach 190 proof azeotropic balance levels, and the moon shiners in our neck of the pucker brush had simple pot stills.

A CA lad that I know, has a compound refluxing still and makes his own 190 proof ethanol for QWET extractions, from cracked corn, sugar, wheat germ, and distillers yeast. It does a nice job, but does impart the unique flavor of corn liquor.

i built 2 stil so far
1 is 15 gallon pot still with packing done in the collum ........running a 20% abv wash i start collecting at 160% .....i stop collecting at 100% everything from 100% to 20% goes into a tails bottle and i dump into the next batch i run

2nd still i have is a small 1 gallon with a 1 gallon thumper 20% abv wash comes off at 175%

but i have never tried run it again after ( running anything above 40% is bit to worry about .........u are basically working with a fire bomb if u mess up with it being so strong like that )

that double boiler still system i told u is the only one i have ever run with something strong like that but u can only collect maybe a pint like that
