Will organic soil burn seedlings?

Hi guys im using a light organic mix for my vegging plants, and its all that i have around me now and i have 11 seedlings to start, i only have Pro mix #4 soiless (peatmoss and perlite), a bag of pro mix regular gardening soil, a bag of botanicare coco coir with worm castings and yucca extract in it, and a bag of good quality compost. I got this mi recipe from my local grow shop owner who is a organic grower for 30 years. He said he adds bat guano and a few other things and that this should only be good for the first month or 2, so im wondering will it burn my seedling if i start them in this mix with the compost and that? thanks for any input, need to start these seeds today as the taproots are over an inch long so hope someone can respond quickly!.

if you haven't popped the seeds yet, I'd recommend starting them in solo cups or something using the Coco/Castings/yucca then once they fill the cup in a few weeks you could transplant into the entire mix, and it will allow the mix a bit of time to "cook" and have usable nutrients for the plant when it needs them....

Just remember, just because somebody does something for 30 years doesn't mean they're doing it right....Read everything you can, if you get some info you like, verify it as much as you can before attempting it, because sometimes a lot of crazy nonsense is on the interwebz ;) good luck with your grow!

I plant my seedlings with an equal part mix of peat moss, perlite, and compost. (basically promix with compost added) Top dressed with worm castings. I've never had any problems! Castings and compost won't burn your babies!

I would leave out the guano.
and if your roots are already an inch long, you are LATE man...
you can fuck stuff up that way, if you want to make sure they germ first then soak until they "oyster" and then plant, but do NOT wait till the root is exposed..
anyways..
be reaaaaal careful.

I've done plenty of grows before and usually wait until they are 3/4 of an inch to an inch for sure with 100% results, the last time I sprouted them in just the pro mix soiless #4 but this time I have my pro mix mixed with the other stuff I mentioned, there's no bat guano or anything, just a bag of pro mix regular herb and vegetable mix, a bag of High quality compost and the coco fibre/perlite with worm castings and yucca extract that Botanica sells, I have other week old plants that I transplanted into the soil mix after a week in the cups and 99% of them look perfect with only a set or 2 of leaves in the mix so I hope I'm good

Long read but very good info.

Thanks guys. I was just mostly worried about the bag of compost I added, I knew worn castings and that would be fine. I have all 11 in the solo cups with the he full mix now so I'm hoping things will be fine, these are weeds anyway, I've seen them grown in way worse conditions and thrive lol

as long as the compost is done cooking and is completed the full composting cycle it will never burn your plants. compost that is not "done" will fry your plant like never before. if your compost has a smell or is warm or hot to the touch its not done cooking.
