will my babies make it?

i started these late cuz im a noob but whateber. weather has been steady in the 80s or higher lately for some reason these babies are growing daily. with winter sadly around the corner im wondering, what are the chances of they making it as i dont know mich besides the cold will slow their growth down let me know what you guys think i should do

you are in pots so i would say if it gets too cold bring them in for the night and take them back out at sun up

what do you think growth wise that'll do because these are definately moving alot faster than my other two it only took about a month n 2 weeks for these to
already hit flowering my last two almost took 2 months for flower

8-9 weeks is pretty typical for flowering. You look a couple of weeks in. Due to the long nights this time of year, they will flower as soon as they reach sexual maturity, at 4-6 weeks. I have some showing balls at exactly one month from sprouting.

humm that gave me a idea for next year. im growing a tree next year. i never accounted for time for maturity in planning outside

well from what i see is it keeps its speed of growth because it wont get the slowed growth from the cold. but the cold helps her tighten up so i would put it inside if its too cold. i think shes doing good just baby her when it starts getting colder out

You have to figure out when it's safe to put one out in the spring, and do your sprouts accordingly. Too soon and your plants will flower.

definately will be babied! what would you see is to cold for leavingg outside? this is them today by way just as an update..

Mine have been making it just fine and growing just fine with night time temps all the way down into the low 30's, day time temps all week have been between 46 and 59 degrees. Tonight it is actually down to 29 degrees f. Girls are doing great though, no frost damage, no slow growth, no discoloring. If anything some of the buds that are closer to finishing are turning purple and beautiful colors with trich and resin production increasing very fast, I have noticed this.

They are in plastic grow bags. If your plants are healthy it should be no problemo amigo.

It is suppose to be back up into the 60's here today and warmer night time temps as well.

Some of my girls have 4 to 5 days to go and some wont be done till December.

that eases my soul a little more i noticed with these puppies they went into flowering alot faster than the other two i had,almost took 2 1/2 months for their pistils to show with these it was almost over night i feel like there was no transition period with these they went from seedling to flower almsot over night, i also dont really know what they are they were given to me from a friend who would just collect seeds from sacks he would smoke. fingers crossed maybe ill get something interesting!

You put them out later in the year and in cooler weather and ime they always seem to flower much faster.

I just had went outside after I made that last post because tonight we are supposed to have our first frost and by gollie we did. Plants were covered in it. It is now 31 degrees and had got down to 29. Temp is rising slowly.

I went ahead and sprayed them a min ago with a liquid seaweed mixture and the frost thawed out. I will check them again in an hour or so, once the temp rises above 32 I should be golden. I only have 12 plants sitting out in the frost, the other 40 something I had placed in my underground hide out haha... Temp underground was steady at 51 degrees. Thank God for that.

I will keep you updated on how these frosted plants turn out. I mean its pretty thick on the leaves. A few I didn't spray and i'm gonna let frost over night and spray them only right before sunrise to avoid damage to the leaves and cell structure.

This is a time to learn, a time to experiment.

when would it be good to put them out so they start to flower right away in the summer or spring would love to have one start flowering and finish sooner in the season then where im at now hoping it will be done this week.

ya them plants can take cold the strain i have have made it past 5 -10 nights and all this week its going to be - 10-15 so time to add a lil more heat before i sealed up my green house she had 2 -10 nights no protection. only had a lil leaf damage on one bud area where the snow and frost sat on her all night cleared that off shes been fine just the tips and a lil edge damage on the fan leafs of that one bud but the bud is fine

You will either need some semiautomatic genetics or do a light dep. The long nights is what makes photos trigger to flower. With some of the semi autos you can get them to veg with long light hours, but they will flower when put out, even in summer.

Well folks, here is an Island Afghani covered in thick ice and frost right at sun rise this morning. I took my sprayer and mixed in a bit of liquid seaweed juice and thawed them out right before the sun hit them. They all looked dead as hell, seeing your plants covered in ice wilting straight to the ground is an extremely scary sight...

They were froze as fuck.

However, checked on them about 15 mins ago and they look identical to the way they did before the frost ever hit them. Leaves pointing up and healthy as ever!

Getting the frost washed off before the sun hits them is key.

I agree Larry, I don't mind at all to invest the labor of going out every morning, taking my sprayer and thawing ice out every day. It is well worth it!

Currently, temps are around 66 degrees, no frost in the forecast that I can see in the next few days
