Will a security light affect my grow

I have 3 6ft+ plants in my greenhouse, all are doing well and showing signs of flowering. I have a halogen security light on the house that is on a movement sensor. I would think that this light will get triggered by my cat a couple of times in the night.
It does not point directly at the greenhouse but it does get illuminated a little by it.
do you think this will affect my grow at all?

I never had a problem with it. I grew a plant that got illuminated by a street light. Same with my porch light and house lights.

I say you will be fine.
Thanks,
Sometimes you just need to remind yourself that these plants are just a weed.
A lot of posts on here could lead you to believe that you need a degree to grow this stuff!
I was starting to get worried as they seem to be going a bit slow and the only reason I could think of was the light. It is my first grow and I want it to go good!

I cannot answer if the lights would slow the flower down. I guess it can happen though. Not sure.

If you are worried still they make motion sensor security light that will not detect your dogs and cats. Or anything under 60lbs. Don't ask me how they work but they make them.

I will leave it another week, if it dont seem right by then I will get the ladder out and take the bulb out, the dog can go for a piss in the dark!

Hey spliffter, I have the exact same problem with a streetlight over my plants. I'm worried that since they are not in total darkness at night, it might affect the flowering cycle. Its also my first grow so I wanna get it right! Mine started to pre-flower over two weeks ago and there has been very little progress since, I'm paranoid that this is the streetlight doing this but I don't know, maybe we're worrying too much!

Hey 5150, my plants are also under streetlight, they started to pre-flower over two weeks ago and are very slow to go much further, did yours take this long to get some bud action? thanks

as days get shorter the budding activity will increase. the light might slow it down some???

Lots of light pollution near my grow; streetlights, and lights from my own house. So far, my plants are flowering like crazy, I guess it doesn't affect them that much. I'm pretty sure the plant can make the diff between the sun's light and some BS street light with a non-botanic at all spectrum.

Thanks for all the responses, I have switched it off now just incase. I will probably save some electric!
They make those halogen spotlights in all different colors including green. If you are worried but still want the security of the light get yourself one of these. Plants can not read green filtered light at all.

Well, After about a week of switching the light off I have lots of flowering going on. Could just be a coincidence but I am happy and my electric bill will be cheaper. The bloody light is a 500watt! I thought it was 150, thats why the meter is now going a little slower!

it has to be the right spectrum of green or it will not work

This is interesting. It seems that the light might slow the flowering. The dark side of my plants are in full flower. But the side illuminated by the light dont look as impressive. I just threw up a light blocker, and I will let you all know if it helps.

it does seem like they were affected. The Strawberry Haze was in the most directly spot and that had the least amount of bud. Now it has the most.
