Why is my child growing so slow

Hi there
As a complete newbie at this I was wondering if someone could tell me why my plant (or child as I call her ) is so far behind as far as the growth of buds is concerned compared to some others I know that are already nearly ready for harvest. I only just found this forum today which will be my new bible I think lol. But I did read that lights can affect the growth of buds? I had nowhere really to plant this so it ended up next to the back patio. The patio light does get turned on abit at night time. Could this be the reason? I did have to bend the top down as it was growing over the fence and i dont think my neighbours would approve!! Thanks and any advice greatly appreciated

I really have no idea of genetics or anything the guy who I got the seed off did call it something big bud..but that means nothing to me this 1st time round . Just abit concerned as it is now the start of Autumn here in Australia so I didn't know if it was going to be too late in the year to form properly. I planted the seed in mid November. Just a housewife with some time on her hands and thought why not

Anything brighter than the moon will jack up your light cycle. I tent my outdoor plants every night. My neighbors turn lights on to let their dog pee. I've tried to talk them out of it. Dogs can pee in the dark.
Your plant may herm, but also they can bloom for a long time too. I have a friend that had a street light over his outdoor plants and they bloomed for over six months with no herms. We bubble hashed and RSO'd a bunch of it, and he is still smoking the flower two years later. That was six plants that got over eight feet tall.
Your girl looks healthy, just be vigilant about looking for male parts. It shouldn't happen right away. Big Bud is an indica. Should have a short blooming, with dark cycle being interupted, be careful.

You can take seeds from the same plant and when you grow them get several different phenos . It's likely that your slow flowering plant is genetically predisposed to flower later and slower than the others .

Thank you..got heaps to learn
It's a healthy looking plant and you have others that are flowering faster so don't despair . You seem to be doing very well so far . Just let it do what it wants to do and continue to take good care of it .

Some phenos start slowly and at some point go into overdrive . You could end up with quite a pile of buds from that plant .
