Why these deficiencies in Sour D, but not in Blue Dream - using same nutes, 100% coco

right on. well, ive been using the labeled dosage on the Cutting Edge Plant Amp - 10ml/gal. maybe I should ratchet that up? The Blue Dream isnt really showing any of this at all, but other very minor stuff. Perhaps its related. Aside from the A/B, and Rhizo, I haven't been giving them any additional Mg supplement.

thoughts? should i ramp up the Ca dosage? I am about out of Plant Amp, and I think there are probably other equally good Ca nutes out there, NOT as $$$. Thoughts about TechnaFlora's MagiCal?

sour d is more finky when it comes to nutes, and ph, and mag. calcium issues.... and those traits carry out in crosses using sour d has well im finding out.. but soo does the sick as smell, and power!!! e.c.s.d. is still a winner dispite it being a pickey strain

yep, thanks JB!

I've done SourD before, and it was so long ago, I cant even remember the shuckster formula I was told to use then. Who knows. At least this crop only has a few in there, so my main focus is the Blue Dream.. Such few SourD's, I would maybe need to work on a separate mixing of nutes for them perhaps?

Same thing is happening to met at the moment. I have half Sour D and half AK. I am also using a 50/50 coco soil mix and i am noticing a cal mag def. on the SD nearest the light but all the AK are looking lovely. Same nutes and design so i am guessing it is just a bit finicky. THe guy at the hydro store said to give them a high ph cal mag solution and it should help (he said 6.8 for me but it would be lower for pure coco like 6.5). He said they absorb Cal and mag better at a higher PH. Yes i think i a going to start mixing nutes seperate for each strain.

I was giving my main coco mix 10ml/gal for MagiCal - and I think I caused some over-Calcium dosages. maybe some other lockout, etc.. got some lower leaves of the Blue Dream that are shriveling up. But a few of the Sour Diesels are just losing leaf after leaf due to turning pretty dang yellow and side-margin browning.

I dropped the Cal/Mg dosage down to 3ml/gal on the coco, but I have still been doing 8ml/gal for the Cutting Edge Micro for my soil containers. Not really sure at the moment what is going on

you can see in the pic, all the yellow leaves on the SourD.

@iscrog4food - how did your situation turn out?
