... Do people NOT flush their plants properly?!?! In all seriousness, the amount of times I have bought weed and its been grown to absoloute perfection and the doofus didnt flush the plant properly :cuss: Ive heard it said that people do it to save time on their crops, I always though you just stopped feeding like 2 and a half weeks before crop? Rant over

Slightly XD its just soo stupid, because the weeds obviously been grown by someone who knows how to grow ... but either didnt know how to flush, or just decided not too, it'd be such a nice bit of green too ... why?!

Oh FFS, here we go again...
I flush, I don't flush etc etc etc. It's a personal choice. I put it down to quantity v quality but many on here will argue otherwise. Here it comes below....

The thing that I have a problem with is close to the end of the go you do something ok. Now how long really does it take photosynthesis to process of the water/nutes to get to the buds?

Im not sure if its a certain type of nute that dose it, but i can tell the difference sometimes, especially in this bit.

I usually flush once a week... So I can load my girls up with nutes again.
A two week flush during the end phase when your plant has it's most explosive growth sounds wrong doesn't it? Take some time to really think about what you're doing. Starving a growing child... You should be ashamed!!
True taste comes out in curing. It's seem in countless industries... Until curing is completed you have an inferior product.

Well if we're taking hydroponics here, then giving your plants nothing at all but straight water for the last two weeks will definitely cause your yields to suffer. On the other hand if you don't flush at all, you'll definitely be noticing it when you go to burn one. I've got my flushing process now zeroed in to five days. I'll drop straight down from 1200ppm to 400 (emptying out the rez, flushing with 10ml/gal of FloraKleen rigorously for an hour or so, then replenishing nutes) for first three days, then emptying out the reservoir again and using 5ml/gal of FloraKleen and pH'd tap water for the remainder, the ppms will have finally bottomed out somewhere around 100 right before the chop.

True taste comes out in curing.
^^This!!

personally it hink you should flush every time you go, not very nice to see someone elses turds floating in the bowl waiting for you.

I have reused my soil so much and added organic amendments that all I can feed is carb boosters for most of the grow without burning...everything is perfect as long as I don't mess with it...lol.

but I have never purposefully flushed except when I was new and thought everything was something wrong...I don't flush at all now usually, but I always water til run off whether in soil or coco..I recently started using coco since my soil doesn't need me anymore...anyway back on topic...

You do what you do, And I do what I do...

I don't flush, and my buds taste great and burn great.

Except I can say that I have been overdoing the carb boosters on my last run..it made the buds too sticky...they are difficult to work with even after drying and curing..they gum up the jars and my grinder, scissors, hands..whatever they touch..
