Recirculating hydroponic systems allow you to get more oxygen to the roots than in soil or wick pots/hempy buckets. This promotes quick and vigorous development of the rootmass- the rest of the plant will follow. The more O2 to the roots, the better, whilst still keeping them moistened, of course.i need some facts real quick why is hydro better?
Flood/drain systems where plants are in pots of absorbent media (ie rockwool, Fytocell) are not fussed by power outages.if you loose power things get bad quick....
1)I use promix...no bugs1) No pests brought in by soil
2) HUGE growth rate
3) No lugging/disposal of soil
4) Never over water
5) Perfect nutrient measurements
6) Exact PH
7) No salt build up
Easy to flush before harvest
I use 100% organic nutrients at 2900 PPM. If you tried that kind of concentrations in soil you would fry the plants.
Well if you used 18 gallons one one plant that's a huge resevoir. I suspect it was a plastic tub (like a rubber maid etc) with quite a few plants and you can easily put a valve in the bottom to release old water through gravity and then just use a hose hooked up to a faucet (if you're using tap water, otherwise jugs or hose from RO) and fill it up. Water is heavy, but if you plan your system right you can make things a lot easier.1)I use promix...no bugs
2)I did DWC and dirt at the same time and they were fairly equal in growth rate..
3)ok
4)ok
5)maybe
6)no rpoblem with soil...
7)I thought thats why you fluch the system...
mine was 18 gallon...there is nothing easy about changing out 18 gallons of water...
everything I have seen here suggest 1200-1450-ppm during flower...2900 seeems high...
1) Don't get me wrong, you can get bugs growing in any medium if your not careful. It's all about cleaning.1)I use promix...no bugs

True, but it's only 5 weeks into flower and has 4 weeks left.thats a skinny little bud!
