Why Hydro Kicks Dirt's Ass ?

I grow soil and it always seems a bit slower than the other methods, but reliable and low maintenence. Hydro, dwc and other techniques all tend to promote vigourous growth, and increased yeild. They are far more complicated though your mistakes can cost entire harvests (ie if your water pump fails for a day your plants will all shrivel). In addition It costs alot more to start up a hydro grow, but this can be outweighed by the benefit of a larger harvest.

As far as quality of the product - well I like my organic buds just fine, i wouldnt pay extra for a bag of weed grown hydro. Infact if weed is touted to be grown hydro here, it just makes me suspicious that the commercial grower is running a rushed operation, and is churning out clones as fast as poss. Quality of bud is poor where I live more often than not.

Soil u have a buffer. the buffer is the soil so if u make a mistake u have a buffer. With hydro there is no buffer so if u make mistake then u have made mistake the plant will show it. hydro grows bigger and bigger buds.

Outdoor or soil bud is always less expensive for a reason....its not the quality of hydro.

Bullshit. Quality is determined by growing the plant to its potential. Regardless of style, you either grow it to its potential or you don't. Sure, hydroponics may yield a bit more, but it will not necessarily be higher quality, all other things being equal.

I kill things in hydro, but my soil plants flourish...and my coco plants do even better than the soil plants in flowering...the soil looks better in veg though, but it is flowering that makes all the importance...so I have to agree that coco is the best for me...but that means that hydro is better than soil I guess...but only if you get it right...and for me soil is harder to mess up I guess...

You obviously don't live in a legal state or go to dispensaries. Hydro is always the top sellers and outdoor/soil is labled as such and is way less in price!

Hydro is more expensive because people have been told it is better...but if you give them soil buds and tell them they are hydro most are not able to tell the difference.

Anytime I see someone touting their "hydro", I chuckle. It's even more amusing when hydro is used as a strain name. Kinda like in the 80's and 90's when all the good pot was labled "skunk bud" then later "BC Bud"

Hydro only for me, soil is meant to be kept outdoors

He knows his stuff, best post today

Once you go CoCo you'll never go back.
Been there done that and back, now my only medium is nutrients

Fun little topic.
