Why Hydro is easier than Soil

Every system has its pros & cons. Without the controller, multiple Waterfarms are very labor intensive to change out the individual reservoirs.

I've flowered up to 4 smaller plants that I knew were female before putting them together. Normally I flower only one bigass lady per bucket.

Also I have modified my Waterfarm buckets for better performance. See the thread "Waterfarm Mods" for what types of modifications are being done.

I like mine because I like larger plants.

Nice post. This is precisely why I switched to hydro. The plants absorb what they can at the rate they are able too, sort of like soil, only, in soil its hard to know what they are getting without all the tools for hydro.
Once you get the tools for hydro, it just makes sense to do it. The media is as cheap as soil and reusable and there is less mess if you're indoors.

Growing hydrophonicly is far easyer than soil ,many people will tell you other wise most have never tried hydro growing and the differance in the yeild is unreal.by growing in a hydrophonic system the root system can get huge.ther is a constant intake of nutrients for the plants to get access too.i grow both ways and the soil grown plants still produce great yeileds don't get me wrong,but the hydro will give me double the yeiled of the soil based medium.and people say that growing hydro is alot of work i re fill my tank every 7 days with fresh nutrients by this time the tank is nearly emty anyhow so it goes to show how much a plant can obtain if it has a constant supply i put in 12 litre of water and there is about harf a litre left at the end of the week.i have just switched to flowering and i have 4 plants in one hydro unite these plants are consumeing the same ammount this time bloom[vitalink a&b]every 5 days so all you have to do is refill the tank at the end of every 5 days i messure 12 litres in the bath put the nutrients in ph it add buddy if its the second week then take the mix to the grow area take of the lid poor in the phed water and nute and you are done for 5 more days 7 in veg you can leave longer but i like to make sure the plants are getting fresh nutrients every 7 days during the veg period and same during flowering.but the only real work involved is once evry 2 week i take the top off this has the cubes with the plants in and put this to one side and clean the bottom section to get rid of any salt build up.it is ammazeing just how much salt build up there is in this time it is normaly a ring around the top of the tub.i check the plants and the water supply about 3 time a week.i ahve blueberry in there at this time they are on flower they have grown 1 and harf foot in 5 days but i have the water on a constant slow run over the cubes this gives the plants ample water and nutes and oxagean from the water put back in the tank from the run off longer white root means bigger bud.so if you have never tried hydro growing give it ago.

Damn I haven't checked this post it a bit and it just took off. What Easy is saying is my point, you let the plant do its thing and observe its needs. With hydro you can change and check its needs with much ease, I just got a PH tester for my soil (mom plants) turns out I have to make the soil into mud to test it?!?!?!? fuck that with hydro I just take a sample and add a few drops of tester.

As for soil vs. hydro, yes taste is the only thing that will hold up in a fight against hydro, why? not because hydro is all chemical (botanicare has a whole organic line and I use only organic nutes for my ladies) the chemical is the same, lab or nature, so why does organic soil taste better? We have yet to discover every little tiny secret that nature has, and until we do so the "natural" way will always beat out the "artificial".

Just because you have a bucket of dirt in your kitchen cabinet with a single 65 watt CFL over your plant doesn't mean its "natural". "Organic" just means it meets the requirements set by our government to be called such. It is still not "natural" outdoor grown in good rich soil that has been building for tens to hundreds to thousands of years. That we may never be able to replicate indoors.

Hydro gives such big yields for three main reasons:

1. Less work for the roots to grow, so they get big fast.

2. More air can get to the roots and they never dry out.

3. The molecules of the nutrients are small enough to be able to easily fit into the holes on the roots.

Fogponics or Fogoponics is the lastest way to grow, its one step above areoponics. You grow with a fog machine in your room its crazy.

Except those foggers dont react well with the nutrients and corrode quickly.

which is annoying.

roots like fog.

Hydro = 1 more issue to worry about durring a power outtage.

"easy" isn't what my goal is. tasty organic bud is.............
