I have a y-ducting peice ive been trying to keep on my vortex fan. Ive tried duck taping the hell out of it and it just slides off over time. I also tried using the clamps and i tighten them to the max and it doesnt even stay on for 1 second instantly drops off. Now i have it tied up and its still falling off. I dont have a powerful enough drill to screw them together. what the fuck is the technique.

Ducting is the only thing I have found that Duct Tape doesn't work on.

Are you sure you're using that clamp correctly? Clamp works fine on my Y to fan.

i tighten it as much as i can and it just falls off. The outtake is facing up and the intake down. So I am working against gravity. Right now i Just folded the ducttape over the ducting making it a smaller hole to fit around. Seems to be working so far but it shouldnt be this difficult and why dont the clamps work by itself.

Could you 'fatten up' the hole on the fan input to make the Y fit a little tighter and then use the clamp?

Welldiced is correct. Use ducting with my job every once in a while and you need that REAL TACKY foil tape. Look around at Lowes or a hardware store in the ducting section or ask someone. It looks exactly like "Duct Tape" except it looks like aluminum foil instead of gray
