Why do the Kessil H350 Deep Purple's suck so much ass?

I thought that was the point of the purple light, it's said to have a 5 band of blue and red panels that cover the spectrum from veg to bloom. I'm thinking about using that and blue for veg, then purple and red for bloom. I also supplement with natural sunlight when it's available, but that'll naturally be a constraint once the plant gets tall enough. I'll take your tips on cleaning the lights and distance, thanks.

I've had the Deep Purples for over a year and have tried to use them for vegging, but nothing happens. Sure, I've used them as supplement very successfully, but as a stand alone lamp as Kessil claims they are, I got nothing. I'm not trying to flower with it, just trying to see some new growth and nothing to this day. I'm wondering if anyone has ever had good veg results with it as a stand alone as the manufacturer claims or is it all hype. I just want to see one successful grow with one LED lamp/panel/whatever repeated and proved. Not just one grower, but many. I want to see proof that what these manufacturer's claims are are for real. No, not 7 panels together, but ONE PANEL with many LEDs that actually get the job done start to finish. There are so many claims out there that LEDs work as a stand alone light source and I'm just not a believer......yet. But I want to be. And something proven can be repeated by many users, not just one.

The spectrum came from my spectrometer. It shows the dominant wavelengths in the product. I don't know why they would put 410nm for trichome production when it's supposed to be a veg light. Anyway.
You can check out my journal and Chiesel grow. It's been rough with some soil burn but everything up to now has been grown with a Kessil H350 Magenta bloom light and nothing more.

Also I just added a Kessil H350 Deep Purple next to the Magenta.

Im here to learn about cannabis, not why you have an unprofound fetish to ruin perfectly good threads- you made a point in the last one, "why do we get sunburnt in more southern regions.." and youre right, but when you deliver like you do. your just a dick.

But that doesn't mean that thread is "retarded," or unjustified, it just means there are people more curious that want to delve into their work a little more- than you do.

I don't get you. I would respect you as I do several others on here...but i cant get past your bullshit, you know your shit, but its so fogged by just... utter disregard for anyone else' view and/or opinion that it literally makes your word worthless, when it could be priceless...bummer dude, and im not trying to talk shit or bash lol or whatever, Im just hoping youre aware of your actions and wish you could really see the impact of your decisions. Everybody has the ability to be great, it's up to them if they are.

Talent..... hm..

Talent is learning to play an instrument and creating your own diverse sound from it... or knowing step by step how to swap out a transmission, and not have to backtrack... speaking of your individual experiences, or life in general- is not. That's life.

I was at work up till about 45 minutes ago, I prioritize my life in the correct manner to know. Moderation is key, for anything. My grandfather was an alcoholic, I am aware that I have an "addictive, attachable" gene/trait and being aware of that let's me stay in control and know when enough is enough.

"discipline is the refining flame by which talent, becomes ability"

Broaden that spectrum Fonz
It's true dude, haven't seen 1 positive comment come out of that FJ's keyboard. AFAIC, FJ stands for "fucking joke."

I made one post a long time ago about some exciting breakthrough work that a few of us were working on and actually developed a T5 that works quite well when LEDs are not an option, but this dude keeps following me around like a stray garbage eating dog looking for easy handouts of egotistical bullshit most likely because he has no self-confidence. This dude ruined this place a long time ago and I choose to use more sophisticated and scientific forums with folks that actaully support each other rather make an egotistical scene like this Fucking Joke does.

I worked hard to get the info and the $5000 equipment it took to distinguish the REAL LEDs from the fake ones. Either way this idiot is going on ignore. BTW how's your pie plate homemade led going? Did you short out your apartments electrical wiring yet? Remember, red to red, black to black. Lol, such a fucking joke.

I think you're onto something here. I think that by the looks of the spectral analysis of the
Magenta it's more "in tune" to the correct wavelengths for growing start to finish. 410nm in the deep purples does nothing for chlorophyll synthesis. I think it's just the fact that's the only violet led Kessil had to work with at the time. The Magenta's contain the correct wavelengths for everything and that's probably why most people that have luck with Kessils are using the magentas. And btw thanks for sharing your time and experience here in my thread while the funny thing is there are only 2 ass clowns that cant seem to get over their ego and incompetence of not being able to grow. It's gotta be rough when these idiots can't even grow a weed with all the expense they put into it. Lmao, karma can be full of humor at times when you see it taking the "trash" out where it belongs.

Anyway keep up the good work with the magentas and thank you for being the ONLY one that could answer the questions as to why the Deep Purple doesnt grow shit as a stand alone light like they claim it's supposed to be able to do. Magentas all the way. BTW if you would the true SPD graph for the magenta I would be willing to share it with those that have a realistic interest in lighting and spectrum and are not here to make a fool of themselves and of the community. I have a complete file on about 500 different SPD charts from HID/MH/HPS from 3k all the way to 20k including almost every brand of T5, CFL and now the new home depot type 22w cool white par38 led Philips brand screw-ins. I see less and less inventory being sold in the overpriced hydroshops. Which is good because it seems like people are starting to realize it.

So far I have grown Nirvana's Bubblicious, and Dutch Passion Blueberry. I like to veg a plant with the H350P and then when blooming starts I add a second H350M, and finish with both lights. This is the perfect combo for one monster tree in a 5 gallon pot. As for height I keep the Kessil's suspended at 12" over tops. I tried lower, but had a little bleaching from the intensity.

Charts..graphs..spectrums. Sheesh...

Ain't that complicated

Maybe make a light that doesn't kill or discolor plants when close proximity to start

Scotch089, Your pep talk for Fonz was inspired. I'm relatively new to growing pot but old hat at shoving good information down the throats of those who would eat it up greedily, were it fed gingerly. I learned that when a method is pushed on someone, it is perceived as though you are telling the recipient that their way was wrong rather than simply inferior. It might even be better to call it less effective since inferior could seem insulting also. As old as I am, I still share things a little too aggressively. For instance, I would argue that the lighting fixture that was supposed to be the topic of this thread is of a bandwidth that would seem to me should only be used for the first and last 15 minutes of the daily lighting period. I might also point out that, while quite beneficial, your point about moderation was delivered in a post that was utterly lacking that particular characteristic. I have enjoyed the entirety of this thread and, if it is read again by others, hope that my part in it will be equally enjoyable. Thanks, all, for your views and opinions. All are worthy of reading even when they are unenlightened because they lead to rebuttal which, in itself can be entertaining.

do you realize your doing a time warp to 2014?
Actually, yes. That's precisely why I said, "and, if it is read again by others". This thread isn't completely useless though. The ultraviolet lamp in a 90 watt version is just what the DJ needs for our 70s parties.

deep purple is a supplemental light, not a main provider.

You need the combination of deep purple, magenta, and far red to create a more broad light spectrum and to get the most use out of these little units.
