Why do people grow in soil?

I grow in dirt for a number of reasons ....

I live in So Cal and it is very hot in the summer, so much I can't control the heat in my garage 25 ft X 30 ft X 22 ft.

I can only do hydro in the winter time and it is to short. I grew some very good buds with DWC, but I have changed, mostly due to the weather.

Now I flower in #6 Nursery Pots (7.9 gal) and ......

No Root Rot
Can water once a week or less
Don't Need almost any nutes

Got plenty of weed and oil and brownies.

Stay high :joint::peace:

P.S. - to high to type much more, just ripped my Pre-98 Bubba .....

For me soil is just easier. Hydro has never been stable for me and I feel like it required a little more finesse than what I have. I've never had a problem with size with my soil plants so I'm not sure what that's about.
Different strokes ya know.

Easy,Simple and a little more forgiving than other methods. That's why I do it. For me if it ain't broke, don't fix it.bongsmilie

I have a confined space and what I realized after starting with DWC was that soil was much easier. I flip back and forth now and then but bottom line, soil is a hell of a lot easier for me. I'm single and am gone most weekends so with soil I just have to water and I'm good for a few days at least. With DWC and the five gallon buckets you have to babysit that shit. I have done both but soil is just easier for me and not nearly as time consuming or as much work.

Does any one, any one at all realize this thread is over a year old and that the last post was 6/25/2012? Not only that but this is simply preference? It's like the chevy vs ford war or the apple vs pc war? It's simply religious preference?

Sorry about having to be so obvious it's just someone complained that lately I've been more delphi than cassandra and I must unpack a little more. If that doesn't work how about I godwin it? LOL
