It's gona be Desantis, i can already tell. Unless some super-cool Dem comes out of the woodworks with Obama-level charisma, then it's Desantis by a sizeable margin IMO

Hard to imagine Desantis winning the popular vote against any Democrat. The electoral college would give him a boost. But Trump's third party bid will take away part of Desantis' totals should Desantis win the GOP nomination.

Bro look how close Trump was on the popular vote in 2016, I expect Desantis to do even better than that, and if his Party can keep their shit together and have Trump lanced off their asses, they'll whoop the "vote Blue No Matter Who" people with ease.

trump splitting their base is just gravy. All the democrats have to do it come up with one candidate that is popular, and has a decent platform to stand on. The republicans don't have the numbers to win a popular election, and they don't have time to gerrymander any more...they don't even have that much left that they could gerrymander, they've already just about taken full advantage of that situation.
in another 3 or 4 election cycles, unless they manage to push through some kind of crazy shit, they'll be irrelevant, there won't be enough of them to sustain a viable party.

There are going to be republicans getting indicted before Nov of 24. desantis isn't one of them, but it's going to do nothing to help him or any other republicans running for any office. There will be another wave of indictments, probably still before Nov 24, when the first batch turns into crying bitches looking for a way out of prison time. The entire party is already in disarray, the house republicans are a joke, literally...mccarthy is so fucking desperate he's keeping george santos in office, for the guaranteed vote.
Most of America hates desantis' guts, they see him as a want to be dictator. He's driving business away from florida, he's driving teachers, nurses and doctors away from florida, He's even driving the military out of florida, with his extremist stance on racism, gender equality, lgbtq issues, with his comfortable relationship with racist, possibly domestic terrorist organizations, with his interference in education, when he has absolutely no qualification to make any kind of judgements about what it's proper OR LEGAL to teach.
This is the humorless, compassionless, heartless prick that went to war with mickey and donald, because they didn't use enough tongue when they kissed his ass. You saw how Biden was welcomed by the people of florida after the last hurricane, as a friend who was giving them his sincere best wishes and promises of help, while their own governor trod along behind like a kid at an event his parent's made him go to...
There's no way he will ever be president, unless the democrats run george santos against him...and that still wouldn't be a good bet, at least george has a likeable smile that doesn't look like it's the result of gas pains.
