The Grow Boss is an asshole
lol, why is that? Im a fan of his, i dont think he is an asshole, well, maybe he is an asshole, but so am I.

I enjoy his shows, and his information is pretty much to the point. He does try hard to find things wrong with peoples crops, id admit that. Everything cant be totally 100% perfect in gardens, but he knows his shit, and he comes off, as knowing his shit,

I do think he is hard on LED community tho..

Just went by the instructions given and flushed it for about 30mins or so. So far it’s dropped my ppm from 330ish to 56 so I’d say it’s doing it’s job pretty well. Hah. It’s rdwc I’m not sure if that matters. I chose mc because of the positive reviews not because it was cheap, price wasn’t an issue could have jumped on the AN train but didn’t if I wanted I did as much reading as I could on the product which had little to non bad reviews so I went with it.
I hope the instructions said to purge the line before you connected the line to the membrane filter.

No you dont want to jump on the AN train

Problematic when you fuck up. Not as easy to fuck up though. But hey whatever makes you feel like you’re being scientific or whatever. Keep doing your thing
It makes me feel like a grower dude. And organic growers don't have their own vodoo?? I was trying to be light hearted...

Correct. I watched a couple videos as well before I went balls deep putting it together. The last thing I want to do is put myself in the same situation twice. Ha. Thanks.

But anyways top feed once a day so the roots dont dry out.

You should look into foliar fedding some epsom salt once every few days also.
Back to this though. Should I top feed until I see roots or just periodically? Same goes with the epsom salt and how much would you recommend given my predicament? Thanks again great info!

top feed once a day till the root hit the water. Epsom salt I think is 1 gram per gallon for a foliar feed. Google that to make sure as I dont remember ..but anyways if you make up a gallon and just use one quart pour the extra in your rez as that wont hurt anything. And if you just want to make a quart the ppm should be about 150-200 ppms for a foliar spray ..add a few drops of dish soap to act as a surfactant.

do you have cal mag to foliar feed instead of just epsom? the epsom will fix the mg issue but the cal mg will fix both issues.

and keep a close eye on those yellowing leaves, i don't think thats bleaching by your lights.

@Bernie420 ok cool thanks! Can I use both the cup of nite water and the epsom back to back when pouring? So basically pour some nute water then give it some epsom water? I may of been confusing about the root thing that is my mistake most have roots going into the buck just not that particular plant doesn’t yet. I can take a picture of a plan that does if you’d like to see

@rkymtnman I don’t have and cal mag but I can certainly get some. I didn’t think it was either. Just a list of my problems I guess. Hah. Got the ro up and running and making water so hopefully should have a good amount tomorrow to put thing back in order. Dropped from 330ish to now I believe like 40s.

I recommend pulling them from their wet jail cells and putting them into soil immediately. If they die..they die.

perfect. that RO filter will be one of your best purchases for growing.

and a bottle of cal/mg is always handy to have around. those are by far the 2 most common deficiencies in hydro. and usually 2 foliar sprays with cal/mg solution will fix most problems quick.

that's what's great about hydro: problems show up quickly but also can be fixed quickly.

dirt is for racing, not growing.

unless you like pathetically low yields compared to rdwc.
Hmm..makes me wonder why all the trees don’t grow out of ponds? Perhaps I should plant my peppers and tomatoes in a puddle next month and keep it filled throughout the summer. All these years I’ve just asssumes that things grew from the dirt and it’s all wrong. This life must be a massive hallucination of mine. Not sure what’s even real now. Idk man but I’ll try the water thing

Awesome thanks I'll pick of some cal mag tomorrow at my hydro store! Also just for shits I went ahead and tested my ph in my res and each bucket to insure my ph wasn't the issue. Res was at 5.9 and each bucket was steady 5.8.

see how deep this is getting? Getting rather complicated and it’s all up in the air. At the point of going fast downhill or a miraculous recovery? Which will it be? Nobody knows so you’re driving kind of drunk right now and I wish you the best in this adventure but this is a rocky road with lots of blind turns. Who knows what’s hiding up in those hills. I can guarantee you it’s a whole lot more than two brothers sodomizing their sister for her sweet sixteen. Entering critical condition. Somebody get the respirator ready

i grow trees in GH waterfarms not ponds.

and i'm just busting your stones, dirt is fine. i just prefer the higher yields of hydro.

I was talking about foliar feeding the plants with epsom salt to get them greened up and photosizing again. Dont need to but it would help.

Top feed any plant where the roots havent hit the water yet. once a day...just dip out of the rez and hand water them till they hit the water

@rkymtnman Do you know a good ratio as to cal mag to ro water or does it matter? I’ve read up on it and other then saying to do it at night with lights off there wasn’t much on the ratio wise since everyone seems to use their own technique and nute choice. Also by sprays do you mean two and I should be good or two a day or?

@Bernie420 Cool man thanks! Basically I had just planned on emptying my res and filling it back with ro water to bring the ppms down I tried to empty little by little but wasn't doing much it’s still over 900 and I was going to set some aside so I could top fed for a little bit to help out.

10 ml per gallon for foliar feed of cal-mag
