First off welcome to riu, what exactly are you hoping to get for responses? You should give us some details like how big exactly is your space? How are you planning on cooling the room? What kind of lights are you planning on running? How many years experience do you have and what is the most plants you've successfully taken care of? Do you realize how much work it is to take care of just 12 plants? So how many plants are you planning on having under 5000w of light?

Even a 35 plant scrog shouldn't take more than a couple hrs work on your avg day, scrog does require more maintenance but if you plan correctly you will spread the work out so that you don't overburden yourself. I would do a perpetual if I was you, split the room in two and do a veg/flower room separate, that way you can start just 7 plants at a time 3 weeks apart so this way you won't be potting and repotting 35 plants at once and won't be trimming 4 lbs at once. It will make the work load much easier.

Isn't 12x9 scrog hard to water and do maintenance? May be too much work but I'm thinking scrogs in the middle and verts on the perimeter. But that means HIDs.

that'll work. Spend $100 of that 5k on a nice stool with rollers. I'm not much help:shock:. Maybe some of that light mover stuff. UV? Extra power panel?
no need for movers with the light power ill be having, and im fat already so no rolly chairs as i need to lose weight and gain it in other places ;) uv? maybe and im doing my own power panel

That fungus money burning a hole in your pocket? ;-)

If you can sketch out what your space looks like it might be easier.

I'd vote for being rdwc or NFT trays on rollers. I personally like the trays because you can put them on sliding tables that help you get in and out to work on stuff. Then slide them back in place under their respective lighting. Commercial greenhouses do this a lot. No need to reinvent what they've already optimized for us.

Do you need dirt in your space? WorkWwith a soiless medium and keep it clean and automated.

I would go sealed !
I’m not a fan of air cooled hoods , because the glass hurts the light before it to the plant
If there was ever a problem with a fan , the temps will get crazy ( DE bulbs get over 600f in a open reflector)

I’ve played with 7g pots , ill take 10s over them any day.
35 air pots to clean a crop with get old fast .
Root master pots could be a happy medium for you.

I would run 4 de1000s with a 5x5 foot print
And make it in the center of the room,
Like @SCJedi said slider tables .
When it’s time to work, push them to the outer edge of the room, or have a little space to get around .

The perpetual is a great idea, but could be a steep learning curve,
Having said that , it’s the way to go, but let’s cut 4pounds a crop or as close to it as we can.

I would divide the room into quarters, every 14-20 days fill a quad,
I run 4 plants under a DE1000 in a 4x4 area
I would either do 4 or 8 so, flowering 16 or 32 at a time . Your veg will also need to have close to the same number and 4 different stages as well.

I can design you a room that has the potential to cut 4units every 17ish Days .

Thats a very reasonble request for such work. I feel your starting price is too cheap. I usually open with "one night with your wife" and allow some bartering to take place. Dont sell your skills short.
Not to be rude or anything, but a full drawn & design room is a bit of work, (the 3 a light book will run you $500) could I get a pic of your ol ladies tits or something? View attachment 4187945

Maybe it’s time I write a book.
4 a light perpetual under 3weeks forever
$400
Or a day searching my ramblings you could put something together probably.
