What is your point? My point is, maybe if they weren't deployed so god damned much there wouldn't be 18 suicides a day.

I wasn't implying it is all because of homesickness, I meant to imply that your friend who likes being deployed is a rare case.

I think you're really getting to the heart of a real problem. Our soldiers are being abused. I have a friend that's had 4 deployments over the last 7 years. I know he's hardly a rare case, were asking too much from too few.

I wish the public was better informed about how much were asking of our soldiers now.

Fuckin A...

Exactly my point. That is what the high suicide rates imply. It is tragic.

Really, sorry to come off as a dick, your friend deserves it and much more but more than that, I'm glad he has a positive outlook on it. Now the reason for my preemptive apology for coming off as a dick, that friend of yours is either a Pogue, or too high ranking to ever see danger. Nonetheless, he deserves his prosperity.

ok dude. Cool, deploying as a grunt is so awesome, fuck being at home with family, you would know, you have a friend who told you...

i never said he liked it. i said he liked the stability its brought his family. and yeah im not serving but thats not my choice anymore. the army wont take a guy back that has a broken back with permanent paralysis. i went in. i got hurt on leave and got discharged without most benefits and pay becuz my accident was my fault and they told me before i left on leave to not do anything stupid to risk my health. well i risked it and failed. med bills were covered thanks to trycare which i now have for life but still have to pay for. so i basically screwed myself. but i would be over there just like any other man and woman serving if i could still...

how are all these people doing better? don't you guys want to return to 4 years ago, when we were losing 800,000 jobs a month, AIG and lehman were crashing, and the entire economy was about to eat the dust?

doesn't anyone want to return to those glory days?
Economically speaking, I'd love nothing better than to go back to 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 and got a grip on Fannie and Freddie in those early years when the democrats claimed they were doing just fine!

Oh yeah, I forgot. He managed to screw everything up in a few months. Of course Bush's having been attacked on - today 11 years ago was not Bush's fault.
Yea Bush had it hard in 08, he had to deal with 9/11, even though it was 7 years later! Shits hard man! Obama completely fucked up the Economy, pretty sure he was a cosponsor of GLBA

Read the part in my last post about getting a grip on Fannie and Freddie and how democrats like Barney Frank, the chairman finance committee and Chris Dodd the chairman senate banking committee told us all they were doing just fine.

Obama didn't have shit to do with the 2008 recession, but he was put in office to bring the economy out of it and he has failed miserably!

The guy never owned or ran a business in his life. was a community organizer, what did people expect? LOL

You aren't going to let go of this "It's all Barney Frank, Fannie and Freddie, the poor and Clinton's fault" are you? even though we have pitched article after article contradicting that notion to you.

The short of it is that poor people and the CRA did not cause the crash. Nor have you mentioned a war, an unfunded medicare change, and a tax cut that we are still contending with. Had that tax cut alone not been enacted when we didn't NEED it, our debt would be much lower and we might even have some room to cut taxes in order to get us out of this mess (presuming that is what you believe).

Did you expect him to overnight? How long do you think it would have taken YOU to do it? Honestly. If you can criticize surely you could have done a better job, so let's hear it.

Better watch out slinging around facts, someone might say in the 4 years mittens was in office Massachusetts was almost dead last in job growth. You know,... a fact. Or that when he got to Bain capital jobs started disappearing, aka people were laid off

Hell, I think that citizens moved out of the state in order to get jobs.

Beenthere will likely say that lowering taxes on the "job creators" will turn the economy around on a dime, what he won't tell you is that corporations are posting record profits - that is they have lots of money, and they are not "creating" jobs.

Oh, maybe it is the regulations that are preventing their finally going out and hiring - even though there is no evidence that regs are the cause of their failure to do so.

I sometimes wonder if people like him are paid to support conservatives and corporations. I can't fathom anyone believing the shit they say unless they're paid off.
