According to these statistics, not very many!

Food stamps:
"The number of people in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as food stamps, hit a record 44.2 million in January. That's up 4.7 million from the prior year.

Currently, one in seven Americans receive food stamps, the highest share of the population ever to do so, according to the Food Research and Action Center."

Federal disability "More workers joined the federal government's disability program in June than got new jobs, according to two new government reports, a clear indicator of how bleak the nation's jobs picture is after three full years of economic recovery. The economy created just 80,000 jobs in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. But that same month, 85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in federal government disability programs."

Median Income"Household income is down sharply since the recession ended three years ago, according to a report released Thursday, providing another sign of the stubborn weakness of the economic recovery.

From June 2009 to June 2012, inflation-adjusted median household income fell 4.8 percent, to $50,964, according to a report by Sentier Research, a firm headed by two former Census Bureau officials."

Unemployment"American employers added just 96,000 jobs in August, the Labor Department reported Friday. The unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent as the economy slogged along for the 43rd month in a row with joblessness above 8 percent."

I am actually but definitely one of the few, I am making literally 10x as much actually. To be honest I would say not a whole lot has changed with the economy in 4 years, its about the same (going by feel).

I wish I could say the same, my business is down about 40% from 2007.
I'm glad some are doing well though, good for you!

I'm a whole lot better than I was 4 years ago. I'm healthier, wealthier and wiser than ever. My taxable income is down and I have no debt. I grow most of my own food.

If anybody is counting on our elected officials to help us out then you need to wake up and learn to take care of yourselves. Learn some basic survival skills and lose some fucking weight. Good luck all

I don't count on the government to do a damn thing except get out of the fucking way of the free market. And thanks but I just don't see myself giving up all the things I've worked my ass off for to become a modern day hippie!
