Looking good. How'd you manage to take photos without the dark lines? Do you have a digital ballast or something? I had to mess about with the white balance and aperture to get a semi decent photo.
My plants are 3 weeks into flat now.
The bottom left and top right quadrant are Wwxbb, top left is Super Lemon OG by Dna (quite stretched) and the bottom right is NL by Kera.

You can see the difference between the WWxBB (left) and the NL (right) below. Even though the NL has the thinner more sativa like leaves it has the shortest, most compact buds. 20170516_032645.jpg

I just got lucky on that pic mate ha. But you can stick a sunglasses lens in front of your camera with a magnetic ballast and it will stop the strobe. Just been to the hydro shop to get some 4 and 7 buffer solution. And I'm literally about to walk into an interview so I'll jump back on later northerncloud. You're looking good there. How long vegging?

Cheers I'll give that a try. I never even counted but it was ages. I broke my veg cfl light so just had them under a 12w led light for about 2 and a half months. They never grew at all at one point; just stuck in suspended animation at about 4 weeks of age. Put it under the cfl for about 8 weeks and trained them. I regret not buying a new bulb earlier but it's all good now.

Suspended animation helped me an awful lot my first run. Started 6 plants in a wardrobe. Grew too big. Moved 3 under low wattage light until I could afford a tent. So ended up keeping 3 suspended for 3 weeks. Then flowered them. Worked well for harvest anyway.

I've been trying to figure out roundabout timescales for veg and chopping these wwxbb. People's general view is a 12 week Bloom is ideal. So I'm accounting for that. Although a fair few people said they pull at 8weeks and it's nice enough.

Don't think I'd wanna miss the fattening of the buds in the last 2 weeks though.

Sunglasses trick Is the bollocks btw. Everyone will think your down with the kids using digital ballast. But we know different haha

My last wwxbb was in flower for 60 days and I'd say we cut it down a day or 2 early after looking at it under the scope. Mostly cloudy but a few more clear than there were Amber. 12 weeks seems insanely long. It's in no way a sativa.

I'm sure breeders recommendations say 56 to 63 days but I suppose the best way to know is to keep checking. I never said I was gonna finish the full 12 mate. Just allowing for it for Christmas smoke lol

I'm pretty sure it would start to hermy on you if you left it 12 weeks but I've never left any anywhere near that long in flower but I've heard that's what happens. That's a decent curing period you've got planned too.

The cure is the most important part. Fully decarboxylated in time for jesus day yes please haha. I've heard too long loads to hermies too. Do you count your days from showing sex or flip to 12/12? Cos imo that adds 1 to 2 weeks in flower.

My stardawg tasted like arse to start with. Now it's smooth af and nearly running out ha

Counting today as the start of veg. As they had their first mild dose of nutes.

2ml/l ionic grow
1ml/l plant magic magne-cal
1ml/l Nitrozyme

PH to 5.5ish (had to use the drop test cos my meter is fucked). I've given myself 2 options. AN ph perfect coco nutes or buy an essentials ph pen. (corrects temperature itself. One touch calibration and good reviews and only 35 quid) maybe both cos why not.

I count from when I flip. I always scope the trichomes before I chop so I don't rely purely on how many days they have flowered.
I'd get the ph pen because the ph can change after nutrient and water uptake even if you do start at the correct ph.
That's what you want; a smooth, good tasting smoke. I'd don't have the same patience as you though and always end up smoking after 2 weeks but at least when I begin to run out they've cured for a few months.

Have a look at advanced nutrients sensi grow and Bloom ph perfect for coco. As long as your tap water comes out between something like 4 and 8 it buffers itself. Something to do with the way they chelate the nutrients allows uptake with a wider scale ph wise.

Either way I'm gonna go for both. Then I can be double sure

Back up in the tent now. Must have knocked my fan slightly on my way out last time because it was blowing hard straight at my plants. There is a little bit of leaf burn. Lucky I caught it sooner. They may look slightly unhappy ish for a day or 2 but they should bounce back

Set my timer for 18/6 now they have been up a week or so. With humidity being so low I need to be able to give them a misting so 9pm they will get a spray and 6 hours rest. See if they perk up a bit tomorrow

I never even noticed the humidity being so low until a few weeks ago. Normally I don't use a humidity dome when cloning because I have an almost 100% success rate without it. I tried cloning a few wwxbb and a super lemon og about a month back before Flowering. For the three weeks nothing happened, they never drooped or grew. They were the living dead. They looked exactly the same as they did 3 weeks previous. I pulled them out to see if there were any roots and none. So I gave them a rinse and dipped them in cloning gel again before sticking them back into the soil and into a clear plastic storage container (to keep the humidity) by the window. A week has gone by now and you can notice that there are some pale green new leafs developing. I dug down the end into the soil and 3 out of 4 have roots now. I'll probably leave them another few days before I take them out. But it just goes to show that they are pretty resilient plants.

I've pretty much finished my 12 site aero cloner now ready to take cuts from the HK and NL x chronic. Do you class the 3 cuttings I've taken rooting as a 100% success rate ha. They were in soil and took about 3 weeks. I'm just gonna nurse these a week or 2. Don't think they are quite as hardy as the stardawg but time will tell

Nice, that's sounds like a good idea. I'll try build myself either an aero cloner or a dwc cloner too. I'm going to have to look into the stardawg, heard a few people talk about it.
