yeah idk about that long of a period either but to each his own, I usually don't question peoples methods or beliefs. From my understanding and from a few reputable people it only takes a full dark period for the degraded THC from the previous day to be regenerated back to full potency. 5 days seems a bit rash. You may be robbing your plant 5 days of extra growth.
