I'm not worried about it, already picked most of em off when I noticed. these plants are too big for a couple of leaves to make a difference.

I'm so busy with watching my pup I barely have any time for the garden. Here's some pics of the jack herer. any idea's one when I should pull it? I was thinking the 1st but now I'm not sure..

This shows how busy I've been, I totally forgot to water the side gaden. shitty

Luckily I think I caught it in time.

LOL that picture of the broken bong and the dog is crackin me up. When ever my dog does somthin he knows is bad, the look on his face after is priceless, sometimes he'll go and stay in another room until i go acknowlege him. Your dogs badass, hope he has a speedy recovery.
Oh, your plants look awesome too

any thought's on when to pull the Jack? I've grown it before, last year. I had to pull it on the 1st though and this year I don't so I dunno what to do. It was bomb when I pulled it on the 1st but could of gone another week. this years looks a little earlier though, it might be crossed with something. I got the cutting from my neighbors wife after he passed away this spring..

yeah man that sucks about the side garden.. pots were too much work, myself, so i am glad i transplanted into the ground this year... id say the 1st is a good choice. if anything wait 5-7 days more but the 1st wont be "too early" cant wait to see the dried jack mmmmm

can't you just google that? I didn't create the strain..

I believe it's from sensi seeds. I got it as a cutting last year and gave a cutting from it to my neighbor, he either took a cutting or bred it with something. I got the little plant from his wife when he passed and it was marked JACK and looks like jack herer so..

Sorry for asking the question man.
it's all good, I just am trying to get some answers to my when to cut question. there's been like 7 posts but not very much help... I think I'm just gonna wait another week. I hate premature bud.

I really don't know much about the strain, if you google it I'm sure you will find out anything you wanna know.

It's one of my all-time favorite smokes though. that's for sure. I used to take a joint with me on morning runs. a really good up high. I love the Jack!

Had to take the dog to the vet again this morning, their gonna drain all the puss out of his infected knee, hopefully they don't fuck anything up this time. it's very stressful knowing the thing you love most in life's in someone else's hands that don't really give a shit..

Word man. Idk its all up to you (the grower) Im sure last year when u pulled it you got high but said ehhh I could be higher I shoulda let it go another week. But your bud looks mature. Now is the aging! It just depends on how much longer you wanna let it just sit nd ripen up.

Pics look close but if you can, take a scope and check the tricolms for color (amber) are you just watering them at this stage?
On another note, Hows ODB, read that you have to take him back to have the fluid drained? Hope all is well and you'll have lots of time to share with the ol dirty B..

ODB- love the over head garden shots again! when to trim is a personal choice and all of us being on the internet cant really be much help since we need to be next to the plant in person to get a right feel for it. most of the hairs look red on the jack which is always something i try to go by, so anytime from now on i would say your going to have a good smoke. the longer you go, you might start losing the sativa "upper" high.

I'm not worried about letting it go too long, that rarely happens. I've grown jack twice before, once indoor once outdoor. last year I harvested on the 1st because I had too. this year I can let it go as long as I wabt. I put all those pic's hoping someone with more experience with jack could let me know some tips. thanks anyways guys. I'll just go with my gut and cut it on whatever day I think it looks best like every other time. I just dont have/use scopes and wanted someone who was a master grower be like "dude you need 8 and half more days plus 2 hours" lol you know? EXACT

I just don't have the time to be out in the garden cause I have to watch odie 24/7. shits rough. he just got back from the vet with 2 tubes in his leg stitched in and hanging out to drain the blood/puss. its gross and sad.

Here's what the leg looks like

DSCN1868.jpgDSCN1871.jpg

And to cheer you up after that depressing shot here's some bud's that decided they wanted FREEDOM and grew beyond borders! :leaf::leaf:

DSCN1873.jpgDSCN1874.jpg

And here's me hand feeding the pup like a baby because he wont eat the chicken that's been boiled in broth from the plate. I have to make him bomb chicken and hand feed him to get him to eat. he ate 4 chicken breasts in like 20 min though. thats more than he's eaten in the past 2 days.

It's not that big of a deal and like I said I don't have the time to PM people right now. I'm busy watching the dog. I gotta get off the comp right now actually. If you don't have an answer you don't need to tell me anything man I just was looking for some opinions from a bunch of different people. it's nothing personal. besides, I'm not trying to personally single out any other growers because I dont know who knows what about which strain, you know?

So if there is any outdoor Jack Herer veterens/ experts out there. take a look at those pics from the last page and lemme know what ya'll think.

Peace and happy growing!

Hi odbs, my friend and I use to grow Jack back in the 90's indoors, not sure if the strain is the same anymore but even after 10 weeks of flower indoors, it would start kicking out new growth and hairs like it was never going to finish! I would go with the, if you are questioning whether to pull a plant down, you should probably just wait. Can't really advise on weather paterns in the US, but over in Northern Europe I am going to be lucky if my outdoor is finished by the end of November....however it did rain for the whole month of August.

Looking at your jack I would say in the next week they would be good to go. Longer ain't going to hurt it too much...maybe just start to make it grow more!

Awesome stuff!

Peace, DST

There are 4 main phenos within Jack Herer, and the flowering times vary. It also can be very quick finishing when crossed out. I have a Jack x Trainwreck that finishes early ( late september). I would go with your gut, but they look to me they could come down anytime...the 1st sounds good to me! hehe......oh,......today's the first.....
