oh, i'm not sure about foreigners. my wife says it is still compulsory if you are under a certain age.
Its deff compusary , its called conscription...usually 6 months or a year of dedicated service. But Israel requires all of its citizens to be "reserve" soldiers i believe, i think its 16-55..dont quote me there.

You can become a muslim, that way you can beat your wife and rape her every 4 days. You can blow shit up and get 72 virgins when you die. The only thing is they cut your fucking head off if you denonce their relgion.

What about Scientology Beardo? They seem to have alot of wealth and famous rich people. I don't know if they are accepting new recruits at the ground level though.

Aren't you near Hollywierd Beardo?

You're looking to religion for just social and personal aspects which have litte to do with religion, in which case that's not a bad thing because actual religion of the organized type is more about power and money and control than anything else. Try this on, it's made up of people of all faiths or none, as in humanists, athiests, wiccan's, cristians, jews, buddhists, hindus, straight, gay, or whatever all together non judgemental, but mainly it's just people who are more open to community and spirituality, and personal growth specifically no matter the source. They're open to a variety in learning, not any one specific dogma and agendas, and even if you don't ultimately like it there or choose another path you'll get exposure to many different theologies all at the same place.
You can stay with that type of church no matter what your beliefs are or may change to later, and nobody gives a damn as long as you're a decent person. You'll fit right in, pot smoker or not.

Unitarian Universalism is a religious community characterized by support for a "free and responsible search for truth and meaning".[1] Unitarian Universalists do not share a creed; rather, they are unified by their shared search for spiritual growth and by the understanding that an individual's theology is a result of that search and not obedience to an authoritarian requirement. Unitarian Universalists draw on many different theological sources and have a wide range of beliefs and practices.
Historically, both Unitarianism and Universalism have roots in the Christian faith. Contemporary Unitarian Universalists espouse a pluralist approach to religion, whereby the followers may be atheist, theist, or any point in between.
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) was formed in 1961, a consolidation of the American Unitarian Association, established in 1825, and the Universalist Church of America, established in 1866. It is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and serves churches mostly in the United States. The Canadian Unitarian Council became an independent body in 2002.[2]

I hear Scientology is great it's like mystery science theatre but you have to bring your own popcorn. Mormons are cool if you wanna feel like the smartest guy in the room. If you have a domination fetish try christianity they will tell you what to do and how much money you owe them for it..ummm what else hey fuck it start your own religion I will join as long as we all get fancy jumpsuits and nike cortez sneakers

I like how mormons have to buy special blessed underwear, and scientologists have to buy special blessed water, both with a high markup. That's a sure sign they know the right way to "god" is unrestrained capatalism, greed, and a high markup.

Just got back from Israel! Be here in the states for 6 months again. About to move back out to Cali in two weeks! Then Israel before Chanukah again! Just another perk to being a JEW! Living across the world is an amazing thing. I may Visa to South America for six months in a year as well. I want to study the indigenous mountain tribes and their beliefs!

If you are having to ask this question, then I think religion is not for you. Maybe simply believing in a god is all you need. You don't need a church or a religion to affirm that for you.
