Which is best? LST, Scrog, HST or Trimming?

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Different strains react to each method differntly. Take my Kali Mist for instance...she really loves to be FIM'd. She just throws 5-6 stalks and then fills them with bud. When I topped my Kali, she just grew 2 main stalks and that was about it. Nothing special. However, without any training she will go through the roof.

My White Widow doesn't like any training. She is a wild one and prefers to just stretch her legs and spread her pistils. She yields best when left to do her own thing.

From my experience, you need to see what your strain likes best. It's all aprt of the dialing in process. Sorry for being so vague but I just don't think one particular training method is better thyan the others. LST seems to work on most strains but I would not necessarily say it was THE best. Just play around with different methods and see what your plant likes best. Good luck

whats the difference between lst and scrog? the amount of effort? i ve only scrog'd but i think most scrog way to early and then its just like a mess of plants growing through a screeen. never tried lst but seems like the same result. manipulate nodes to stay low and facilitate more bud sites in whatever design you can imagine. kinda like filln a screen. either way they greatly improve yeild. imho

I wanted to grow White Dwarf, its a cross between LR2 and White Widow or else a Lemon strain. For the WD would you suggest just leaving them grow normally as it has the same properties as WW? Also how much would I yield in a 4 plant Bubbleponic setup with a 150w hps?

If it were me and it was my first grow with that strain, I would just let her do her own thing. Take a few clones and start various training methods...LST one...Top another...FIM another...it's fun to experiment and she what she likes the best. Whatever method you are most interested in, I would start learning that first.

I am growing some Larry OG Kush for the first time. However, I did learn that they like all types of training so I am topping and FIMing for starters. I have clones and will be doing some LST with these. After a few runs, you should have a good idea what each strain likes best.

As far as your yield is concerned...I have ZERO experience with Hydro. I am a organic dirt farmer and thats really all I know. Sorry.

Your yield will depend mostly on how good you are at doing hydro, it's quite easy to let the pH or nutrient concentration get too high/low which will negatively affect yield. How well you make use of the light will also be a big factor.
Good growers can achieve upwards of 1g/watt of lighting, but 0.5g/w is an achievement first time round.

is this per plant?

Not per plant, per however many plants you have in your growroom.
Those two items are a bulb and the components of a ballast (not a very good one either, it says not to mount it more than 2 feet from the light!). A full kit would also consist of all the connecting cables, a bulb fitting and at least a basic reflector.

ok,

what about this ballast:

how about just send him a link to the one you think is the best

Yeah, sure, any of those would work, but you'll still need cables (those fittings only come with 12" of 600v cable), a bulb, and a reflector.
Is there any reason why you don't want to just buy a kit, like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/DIGITAL-GREENHO...in_0?hash=item2c504317fc&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 or this http://cgi.ebay.com/400-watt-High-P...in_0?hash=item3a51660685&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
I'm not saying these are the best lights out there, but you seem to be looking for the cheapest, that's the only reason I can think of to buy the components rather than a system.

yep-like someone said, it all depend what conditions U have-Like example U have many samll plants, then Scrog will be perfect for U.or U are restricted grower who cant grow many plants, then LST 4 taking the maximum out is must do method:)
Trimming should be done 4 time to time, or hardcore trimming -like lollipopping your plants to put all the energy to your tops:)

So it all depends on your habits and environment.

I have a white widow-i have topped it and soon after that i started LST-and it responds extremly well do all my choosen methods(somebody is here that he leaves hes WW alone, but its all up to his choices and preferences:))
