Which breeder for the real deal northern lights?

i just finished soem northern lights from nirvana.
good and bad.
i got 7/10 seeds to be female. 2 of the 7 plants finished in 8ish weeks and gave me real nice buds. tight nugs
3/7 gave really hairy buds with not much for thc on them. 9ish weeks to finish. airy nugs
2/7 gave fairly nice buds and fairly big. 11ish weeks to finish. semi tight/semi air nugs.
all in all, i am not happy with the strain. if all the plants turned out great like the 8 week ones, i would be very happy.
all i know is i wont order any nirvana seeds anymore. it was just a big piss off from me.

this is the strain that seems to generate a lot of argument on the 'real deal'
at one time BCSC was the holder of the NL#5 which many raved about
that was a ways back and BCSC has seemed to become rather sketchy over the years
i have grown(and am growing) nl#5 from highgrade-seeds(small canadian breeder)
takes a long time to finish to the point i like it, but it is good

have you looked at seedsman's version. heres the description:
The Genetics of Northern Lights is one of the most confused of all existing cannabis strains because there is no one who can take entire credit for its creation. Northern Lights was developed as an indoor seed Strain in the late 1970s near Seattle in Washington, although the Genetics involved in the cross were known to have come from California - the original home of a great many of the most famous cannabis strains. It was initially a stabilised cannabis sativa Strain crossed with an Afghani indica Hybrid.
Northern Lights travelled to Holland as a clone where it was introduced to the commercial cannabis seed market in 1985 by The Seed Bank.
Because it arrived as a clone it could not be inbred for stability and seed production, therefore Skunk No 1 and Original Haze were used to produce seeds off it so it could be used as a parent plant.
Northern Lights distinctly shows its Afghani indica genetic background; it is a small plant that produces, big highly resinous flowers. Although it was initially developed for indoor growers excellent results have been produced outside. Northern Lights has a sweet resinous taste and produces a physical comfortable but lazy feeling, known to some as 'couch lock'.

So, after Growing 7/10 NL's from Nirvana; your poor results have you thinking "Nirvana" is to blame.. lmfao

Actually, it's called different pheno's. Nirvana's strains are known for not producing consistent results. However, I wouldnt write off the whole Nirvana line-up just because of one strain. Some are quite stable, just not all.

2/7 were fuckin awesome buds. 3/7 sucked. and the 2 still going look like they will be pretty nice buds.
and yes, its called different phenos.
i have some big bud, ak48 and white widow growing or starting soon, so if they pull threw good, then i may chance my mind on nirvana seeds

I mean they're not GREAT strains by any stretch (Aurora Indica the exception), but they are far from bad. Reasonably priced, probably the best shipping of any bank, and a decent variety. Some people like having everything in one place.
I can tell you though its worth spending the extra bucks and getting some really good genetics. Attitude has some good lines, TGA Subcool, Mr Nice, Sensi, Reserva Privada, etc. All top of the line genetics with very stable phenos.

last year i acquired some fem NL#5 x Haze from sensi seeds...was a ten pack and only have done one plant...it was the real MF-ing deal...but again...we have only finished 1 so far...only planted 1 too lol...well until this season...we started 2 more...
But.....and i MEAN BUT...we also did jack flash #5 ...and the first plant was kick ass...taste, smell, buzz ...it had it all...but so far we have only had 1 plant of that turn out killer....as it says in the description, choose your mother from 1 of the 4 phenotypes you could get....was impressed with the good one..and the others would stone ya...but smell was lacking as was the taste and buzz...so even tho we paid top dollar for sensi, it seems to still be a toss up on the quality of all the seeds...dont get me wrong...so far everyone has hatched a sprout....and i will probably continue to buy from there altho since they dont ship to US....i go through some shit to get my seeds delivered from them.

I am currently growing KC Brains NL.. Cheap seeds, i see they get alot of crap on here about the genetics and such, but i havent had an issue with them.
