Where do you go to get your sand?

Home Depot sells builders sand. It's course and works for soil mixes. Other than that try someplace that sells concrete and concrete products and they should sell builders sand. Maby one of those place that owns and operates those concrete delivery trucks.

you should be able to get sand at either of those places... i was at a local grocery store the other day with a garden center set up outside and they had like 3 different kinds of sand. shouldn't be too hard to find. a lot of stores carry it for sandboxes for kids and such..

the best way is find the local mom and pop excavating and trucking outfit and take your truck

usually in my area it's about 3 or 4 dollars a yard which is about a ton=truck LOADED

Beaches all around here - just have to flush it first to rid it of any salts.

I always heard beach sand was a no no for soil mixes because it isn't coarse enough.

I've got a couple of screen boxes & I run it through them once each. I end up with aggregate that averages around 1/4" and enjoy a day at the beach with my doggies.

play sand is sterilized and works very well
