Aye a reckon hydro type nutes that are more soluble and chelated be it organic or not will be your best bet as it will be harder to keep em fed otherwise as it is technically hydro i imagine sand holds alot of air for the roots at least too
Ill probably just grab some small bottles of GH trio that should work.

Never tryed gh nutes heard they are pretty good but they arent not so common in the uk where im at canna would be the most common one like that id say mind you there is that many different nute companies now

They look great to me. I knew you'd have some issues with keeping the sand wet though, especially once the plant is fully established in the pot. This would be a perfect substrate for drip feed if it works, the consistent drip feed of nutrient solution would be bomb and the plant would never be thirsty or underfed. Also it doesn't wash through the pot like normal watering, it slowly drips and saturates evenly.

Or flood and drain perhaps like they do with the fish tank water in sandoponics.
