when u put the soil into the pot do u press down on it or no?

jsut wondering what everyone else did..

I dont press it down but I do pack it a bit by bumping the bottom of the container on the ground once its full. Watering it fully finishes all the packing i think it needs and seems to work for me.

nope. just use my fingers to even out the surface, but you want the soil loose as possible. add some perlite/vermiculite, you'll be happy

nope, i drop the cracked seed on soil then loosely sprinkle soil on top and then water it.

Watering it will eventually pack it down the correct amount, just keep it loose.
