I have a varmiter by bushmaster, and i think it is like a m4 by Dpms. The m4 came brand new with a spring tube FULL OF ALUMINUM SHAVINGS that plagued me for awhile, but it hardly jams anymore (once i figured out the problem). The varmiter is sweet, but the chamber is match grade and is so tight that i think it just needs to be shot to break it in. They are both mean, and i wanted an ar for forever, and happened to have the spare cash so i got em. If i ever had to use a rifle, when my life is on the line, I would be carring an sks, thousands of rounds fired, never had a jam! I like it like that.

I like that round(7.62x39mm cartridge) too, and its fairly cheap to buy still. I just saw a local guy selling his Norinco SKS for $310, debating on whether or not to buy it.

Being a physicist, I would like to think there would be a lot I could contribute.. I don't think the world as we know it would ever survive without science. In all fields, science strives to better the understanding and manipulation of our environment. I think of it like 3M's motto, we don't make things, we make things better..
