When should i tie down?

i have a plant i just started under cfls im going to change the light to hps soon but my question was when is the earliest i should tie them down for a bushier plant? or should i top it if so when is the earliest i should top it?

6" was a good height for me. Typically, the earlier the better b/c if you wait too long the stem is harder to bend & twist around your pot.

yeah bend um while their young,or the stem kinda breaks,but heals back .

You should start training them a few weeks into veg and when you switch to flower all you have to do is maintenance

be careful u dont pull the roots out of the soil when bending a young plant

alright thanks i was thinking if topping it then tieing both new growths down i have limited space and a single plant so i want it really bushhy would this be a good idea? also i was thinking about adding a 150 v incandescent bulb along with my cfl it puts out about 2100 lumens if im remembering right
