So I got 4 fem bermese Kush plants from T.H.seeds and there exactly 4 weeks old from seed. I’m using a 3x3 tent with a 250watt self ballasted cfl for veg and got them in coco/perlite/vermiculite. So far I have only fed them calmag and they seem to be just loving life . I have not noticed any signs of deficiencies yet so I haven’t botherered adding any more nutes. When should I add them ? Or should I wait for the plants to tell me they need it ? (I’m using sensi coco grow part a and b)

If you have pen try 600 .5 ec ppm and watch BUT they look like fine as they are .the soil is it amended ?
If you have pen what your run off when u water ?
Also they look like Indica and they can take more nutes then sat hybrids but sat hybrids can look very indie when well fed .
Good luck .
BTW for the records I never use FULL strength from jugs .

Less can be more .
More or less ...is Growers choice

From my bottle using days I can say that the bottles and the companies recipes say to use wayyyy more then you actually need to or should. I remember using AN way back and it calling for 2400 ppm for max flower feeding. I had best results using 1200 with many dif strains.
I also suggest you look into a soil mix water only set up. It is hands down the easiest way to avoid most problems, save money, and produce top quality.
Cheers :)

Yes brother some of my best shows were low nutes amended soil and teas gave me the flav I was looking for and the smoothest smoke available .
todays shatter/wax/rosin demands more from the plant and those levels are hard to achieve naturally .

Your pH going in and coming out should be around 6.0 when using coco.
That's what I was lead to believe aswell and guys running as low as 5.5 but rarely over 6.3
Yes ph . I currently don’t have an ppm meter but will be getting one tonight or tommorow. The sensi is ph perfect but I haven’t used any yet. Going to add 1/4 with today’s watering
Get pen first :bigjoint:

Take notes Brother its the best way to learn and ....well.....remember shit we do .
I am huge stoner so man I forget a lot :wall:

With my current soil mix I checked my waters ph with a simple GH liquid ph testing kit at the begging.
But really the beauty of the soil mix method is the ph of the water doesnt really matter. Dont get me wrong you do not wanna water with a ph of 4 or a ph of 8.5 but you can use anything within 5.5-7 with a proper mix and healthy soil. I haven't used a ph or ppm meter in years and highly doubt I ever will again.
Cheers :)

Growing is a repeat process once you know what ya done was right a few times .
Each plant is different and requires dif need .
But a plant in soil work to make it own foods via natural process as long as soil wont burn root then it take what it need if it there .
Hydro/coco is ON DEMAND system give the plant what it depends on via steroid like uptake and Boom they grow like mad .

Fine line in the grow world of what your needs are and your demand of your plants .
Grow for show or grow for dough .

Thanks guys . This is my first coco grow and although they do seem to be growing a little faster I think I’ll be going back to soil after these are chopped
