np mann....yea 3 weeks min you will be able to tell trust me. the red hairs will start to curl inward into the glands and the trichomes will be amber colored. a decent magnifying glass or cheap little microscope[best choice] will allow you to watch them so you can harvest at the right time.
if you look at this pick you can see the hairs curling and the thrichomes little heads are ripening too.

Those don't look like 100 watt and 125 watt CFL's. Those are CFL's that are equal to 100 and 125 watt incandescent lamps. Not enough light I'd say, only about 110 watts of fluorescent.

i didn't know being equivalent isn't ok to call the same i just figured if it is equal to then it must be. 6=6 and (5+1)=6 so i just figured a light equal to 100 watts is a 100 watt bulb. at least equal to i guess haha.

anyway my fan leaves well that is a good question. it started at the bottom and worked it's way up the plant taking off all fan leaves by yellowing then falling. i posted and posted on this forum asking what to do or what the problem might be. no one had an answer for me except "late flowering plants loose leaves" so i figured it was ok but it has been a good bit since they all fell off i was expecting it to finish up soon after the leaves fell but she is still going.

and she smells better today than yesterday and better yesterday than the day before i see this as a good sign. she is so fruity i just want to take a big bite out of that top cola.

I always trim as well i wouldn't worry about it.
In a controlled environment its ok i reckon.
The cfls that are equivalent to a certain wattage are not the bulbs that you really want you need true output bulbs.
If you change your bulbs you will notice an immediate response from your plants.
Cannabis is highly responsive to light,more light always = more bud,not to mention more dense hard buds.
My first grow many years ago was done with 2 normal light bulbs and i ended up with some nice little sticks of white widow that i thought were great.
Now a days i would put any bud like that into the blender :mrgreen:

If you can afford it get some more powerful cfls.
You will really notice the difference i guarantee it.
For a first grow you've done great but if you can give them more light do it.
Also try adding some molasses to their water :blsmoke:

been giving molasses every couple of times i water i put it in. next grow will have much more light. thanks for saying it was a good job for a first time grow. i'm looking at what i am hoping to be an ounce or more from this but after it dries maybe not. i just want it to be as good as it smells. and next time when i can put some money in i will have beautiful plants.

and you must remember (but you don't know) i found this plant growing in the backyard out of nowhere. i took care of her and named her lady luck. i think lady luck is still very pretty.

ok so i will HAVE to harvest within the week. i have people comming in town that CANNOT find out i am/was growing. so i have come to ask is there anything i can do this last week to speed up the process or whatever to make her "think" it is time to be done. or anything at all that i can do to help her out so the harvest is as good as it could be. i know that she isn't done for one it hasn't been as long as you guys suggested AND i see new growth but the buds are starting to turn a little yellow and i have no choice to harvest. so what to do people help me out PLEASE. sorry for the quality on the pics if you need more i shall give them just not much time to take pics today. let me know if you need more i was trying to get a shot so you could see the yellowing and some just to show you the buds.

should i harvest the lower buds to increase thc in the top cola?

I think that maybe you should chop her down and start a new grow when your visitors have gone home.
Maybe try some indica seeds of some kind this time.
If you want to grow anything sativa indoors you will need a powerful light or a lot more cfls than you currently have. :blsmoke:

natmoon may i PM you about a few things i plan for my next grow i have seen you all over this forum speaking what seems to be "knowledge" about growing.

what is the best thing i can do for these harvested buds. i put them straight into a jar (they were a little dry already)

i left the top cola and a little bit more. i hope for better results next time. pics to come tomorrow .....sorry its late and i'm drunk

cheap microscope at radio shack. better buy extra bulbs though if u can. burn out fast. made in china. also a strong small lite, ie mag, if shown on the sample from the side works when bulb goes.
