is that straight coco? is it same soil as started in?have u juiced them at all?
yeah its straight coco coir with drainage pebbles at the bottom , i started in root riots then went to half litre pots then into the 6.5l pots that they are in now and im not to sure what you mean by jucied but i have been using nutriants apart from the last couple days beacuse we gave them a flush cos i thought i had nute burned them

Just a quick question, can you stunt a plant from over nutrient, and if I'm in Los Angeles, can I buy seeds from U.K. Thanks People

bill davis: yes you can order seeds from over seas. if you order a cheap t-shirt or something as well they will usually wrap your seeds up in the shirt so they are comfy and protected
ranch3r : it doesn't sound or look like over nuting at all, rather a deficiency. im not sure what nutes you are using but most grow nutes ( as opposed to bloom) are made up of nitrogen potassium, phosphorous, and magnesium. your symptons are a deficiency in one or all of those nutes so i would add a little more grow nutrient to your mix so they have enough of the good stuff to get them growing healthy

Ranch3r, I grow in nothing but Coco, and I am already pretty sure what is wrong. But Need more info to know for sure. What nuts are you using, how much do you add per gallon, and what PH are you adjusting it to.
AND NO!!! you can not over water in COCO, and DO NOT LET IT DRY OUT!!! This is Coco, not soil!!!! Do not take advice from soil growers. They know Soil, but will kill peoples Coco grows.
Also, leave them in 16-20 ounce plastic beer cups until they are about 10"-12" tall. Allowing them to set a nice root mass before transplanting them to larger pots. 6-8 liter pots or grow bags are large enough to grow nice sized plants.

we keep the ph at 5.8 and we are using a uk nute line called field marshall we give 2ml of a and 2ml of b veg grow to the litre also about 3 days ago they started to droop so we flushed with just water thats when they started to go very yellow and droopy

How often are you feeding them? And when you feed them, how much water do you allow to run out the bottom?
And do this for me. Go mix a batch of nutrients for them, feed them and catch some of the water that runs out the bottom. PH that water and let me know what it reads.

#1 Pots are to large for that small of plants, but no big deal.
#2 That nutrient is designed for seedlings and clones. and you are only feeding them at 20% strength. So up that dosage to say 5ml/liter, and keep boosting it slowly over time.
#3 you are not watering them often enough and with enough water.
#4 I am pretty sure the PH of your coco is way higher then 5.8 because the pot is so much larger then it should be and you are not watering them enough to flush out the bad salts. This is why I need you to water them again and let me know what the PH is of the water that comes out the bottom.
Get me the info from the above post I did and I can help you dial this in better.
It is almost impossible to over water in coco. I know people that water them 3-4 times a day. Myself, I do it once to save money.
You should be putting about 8-12 liters of nutrient inriched water threw that many plants with that large of pots. Like I said, I use 16 ounce plastic beer cups. I have 9 plants right now that are about 12 inches tall in these cups and feed them 4 liters of water daily.

Your PH should NEVER get above 5.9 on the run off. Make sure you allow 20-30% of the water you feed them to run out the bottom. And remember to take the E.C. of the water before you add the nutrients and subtract that from the nutrient/water mix to get the end number. Also read my above message again. i added things.

The high PH will lock out certain nutrients. When it gets High the leafs will start to get little gold/brown splatches. and they are light green because they do not have enough nitrogen. You can leave them in the large pots, but you will need to give them more water. You NEED to have 20-30% of the water run out the bottom. I have 7 full grown plants right now in 8 liter grow bags. I feed them 20 liters of water each day. If the run off has a good PH and looks good, you can reuse it the next day, and mix less of the fresh stuff. BUT!! Make sure to feed them the run off from the day before FIRST. And do not mix the old and the new before you feed them.
Shoot for 5.4-5.8 on the nutrients and run off. You might have to feed them at 4.6 PH to get the PH down at times on the run off.

Yah know. I have a PPM/EC pen and never even use it anymore. When I try a new strain, I just keep a detailed journal with all info in it. I start out at 30% strength on the nutrients and keep slowly boosting it higher, until I start to just get a little nut burn on the tips and then back off a little on the nutrients. Each strain will have different wants and needs.
this is the nutes i use http://www.fieldmarshal.info/ the shop that i bought them from told me to include water in the final ec so it would be 0.6 water 0.8 nutrient thats how i have been feeding them

I have found that most people in hydro stores and such have no idea on how to grow stuff. I never take advice from them.
