WHATS THE BEST SOIL YOU CAN GET AT WAL-MART,LOWES, OR HOME DEPOT....x

recently a friend offered to give me a hook-up from http://www.bonnieplants.com/ it's a supplier of veggies and herbs to the big box stores. the soil they use (and i recently obtained) has sphagnum peat moss (not sedge peat), aged bark (or composted forest products), perlite, vermiculite, lime, dolomite, etc. i don't think they sell the stuff commercially, but it is organic and i am anxious to see if it improves over the great FFOF...

I use ffof and haapy frog. When I have to get dirt from home deez nuts i get the miracle grow 3 month feeder and add some stuff to it

I'm having pretty good luck with MG seed starting mix with my schwag seedlings. Its npk is 5-1-5, the organic is double at 10-5-10, and the rest are 21-7-14.

pro-mix---- the hp type with more perlite. then i add bone meal, blood meal, bat guano, wormcastings, vermaculite......great drainage. nutes work great for plants 2 plus weeks old. earlier they burn.
water plain with superthrive for the 1st month then start adding fox farm grow big. then tiger bloom during flowering..
works great for me.

Lol the thread is titled what is the best soil you can get at lowe's, home depot, or wal-mart...
Why are so many people posting soils that are not sold at those stores?
Promix and roots organics are not soil at those stores I know that

...I've made my own mix when forced to go your route....1/3 vermurclite, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 petemoss....add you some dolomite lime, and your good. They sell all of this at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depo, exc....

Growers really should think twice about patronizing the large chains for grow supplies. They sell mass produced crap. All three of those companies mentioned in the title piss test their employees. The profit does not stay in the community.

Much better to support a locally-owned nursery/garden supply store. Small businesses rarely piss their employees due to expense.

Vote with your dollar.
