most grow shops are a rip off any way, better off finding it online, if you mean a shop to buy meds then most of them have closed, im sure you can find one theri though, people seem to think they can open them with out any probs, theri is a new one in GP again and soon it will be shut down. its not hard to tell when some one is doing wrong

Yeah I was tailking about a supply store. I usually by from igrowhydro.com but sometimes it's nice to physically browse a store, maybe I'm old school that way.

well some local places to have good deals, but most the time you have to know the owners and what not to get them, they just want to sell any thing and every thing. i still do some shopping at the hydro shops for cheap pots, and advice. HTGsupply is another good cheap online source

Hey, man. The Garden Spout off of Foster Road is pretty nice. They will work with you on price to gain your business, and they are pretty knowledgeable folks. Super nice, too.

I used to go to Urban Flora, and I really liked their store itself, but the attitude of the owner ruined it for me there. Great gear, very knowledgable staff, but they are irritated at the flooding of the market, and will tell you it sucks every time you come in. I like the store and went there for 2 years, now I go to garden spout.

Build relationships.....like you are supposed to in life....have fun with what you are doing, and have fun with the people that help you......you will get the deals eventually. You have to build relationships. As a newbie, I did not get nearly the deals I do now, partly because I did not have the relationships, partly because I did not know exactly what I was doing at times.

true indeed in most cases, ina new place i usally walk in ask the price of what i want and if it is to high i just say never mind and walk out, and most the time before i get to the door they say hold on i can drop that down for you, they only want business IMO.
but buuilding a relationship with them is a good plan, i have a very good pal at paradise supply here in GP who never gives me a bad deal when i do go shopping, most the time though i go in and talk to him about organics and get advice

i use northern lights and garden but they are dam spendy, most the time i have to let them know im leaving cuz i can get it some where else for way cheaper and then they usally end up matching the price. i like paradise supply much better.

now if you will just leave and never return. it seems you come on once a week just to run your mouth

I still go to American Ag. on stark,Grateful Garden Supply,or northernlights if I'm in a pinch. I'm going to agree with the idea of online offerings its so much cheeper but what ever choice you make best of luck with your gardening!

I was just looking to kill some time while in p-town and ended up not needing to anyway. thanks for your input everyone. I usually shop at igrowhydro.com, i've found them to be the cheapest on most stuff. Anyone have any other favorite online shops?

I go to the garden spout as well... the guys there are amazing.

They have been in our shoes (in front of and behind the counter).

Talk about building relationships... you can go in there with any questions or concerns and if they dont know they answer they will actually research the shit out of it and find out (but usually between the 7ish guys that work there... there is so much knowledge. wow :D)

no shops are ommp friendly if they mention marijuana their suppliers can and will stop selling to them. all the shops here are like that, they will not throw you out but will get kinda pissy, they know what your talking about if you talk right but with out actually mentioning it

So what your saying is you don't want to walk in and show them a picture of your operation and ask for advice?

thats exactly what im saying. theri is no point in mentioning any thing about weed if your both know whats going on. and if you have respect for them then you wouldnt want to get them in trouble with theri suppliers would you? then we would have no where to buy gear from
